I can't find where it says what accomidations are included during the Land portion  . Also, is food included, or is that extra?

Onsite WDW reservations at select resorts are part of the Land and Sea package are included.

Dining cannot be added to a L&S for the resort at this time. On the ship, however meals are included in the cost of the cruise.

Does that help?

In a L&S package, your stateroom category and hotel choices are kinda related. For example, we had a Cat 6 stateroom in which the Beach Club was one of the included hotel choices for our stay.

From the DCL site, this is what I found about Room Categorys and Hotel Choices...
Deluxe Flagship Resort
Available when you book a Category 1, 2 or 3 Stateroom.
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Deluxe Resorts
Available when you book a Category 4, 5, 6 or 7 Stateroom.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
Disney's Beach Club Resort
Disney's Polynesian Resort
Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel
Walt Disney World Swan Hotel

Moderate Resorts
Available when you book a Category 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 Stateroom.
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

Now, if you wanted to save a few bucks, you can book your own Land and Sea vacation by booking the DCL and Land part as seperate itineraries. That way you can choose your stateroom and hotel and save money in the process. Keep in mind, you dont do both parts of such a vaca through DCL themselves, but through seperate DCL and Disney reservations. (Or a good travel agent can also do such an arrangement as well...) Also, if you do it this way, you can get dining included.

Feel free to ask additional quesitons on this... the L&S vacation is a great way to go.

And don't forget -- Magical Express will get you from the airport to the hotel. And the cruise line shuttle will pick you up at the hotel and take you to the port. Then will get you back to the airport.

...and to add to that...
DCL transportation to and from the ports is not free, unlike DME. If you happen to have days at the parks before and after your cruise, DCL will take you to your hotel after the cruise as well. (Then you can take DME to the airport.)

A little fact that mosot people DONT know is yo CAN book a lower cat stateroom (Cat 12) and upgrade your resort to a higher catagory (for extra charge of corse) Example you can have Cat 12 stateroom on the ship and upgrade to the Polinesion(sp) for your resort. You must call DCL for this option.

Interesting tip Monorail Rider.... I was unaware of that myself.
I wonder what the price difference would be than to do two seperate itinaries as many people do to accomplish the same thing. I mention that because it has been said that not going through DCL for the land portion tends to be cheaper. Hmmm... next time I do a L&S trip, I will just have to see for myself. :)

I have heard that too, but for me, it's worht the extra $$ to have it all booked at one time. Same room key for EVERYTHING (land room, park charge card, ship boarding key, ship room key, ship charge card, castawycay charge card)

For that reason alone it's worth it to me. We will leave the majority of our money in the bacnk at home and give DCL our charge card # and the rest is all don't with the room key.

Also nice to only have to deal with one place for booking instead of calling DCL for the cruise and WDW for the parks.

Not sure of the price difference but with the land & sea package yo get a 7 day park hopper for WDW, so since you only use 3 of thoes day, why not upgrade to a "never expire" for the last 4 days and then you can come back again next year (or whenever).

I am taking 2 CM 'NOT FOR SALE" tickets so we will actualy have 8 days worth of tickets. we'll use thoes tickets and 2 days from the parkhopper, upgrade the rest so we'll have anohter 4 day parrkhopper for next year.
