View Full Version : Best Places To Eat @ Universal Hollywood?
I am going tomorrow for the 1st since since 90 or 91, crazy thing, I hear they have rides now :) ... sure was not that way when I last went, the ride(s) was the tour .... So, I am wondering, what are the best places to eat there? Also, any other tips would be appreciated, thanks!

JeffG 07-09-2006, 01:18 PM The dining locations in the park generally aren't that great and quite a few have been taken over by regular fast-food chains (Pizza Hut, El Pollo Loco, Taco Bell, Panda Express, Haagen Daas, Starbucks). About the only place we have found inside the park that we tend to like is Doc Brown's Chicken, near the Back to the Future attraction.
A better bet, especially for dinner, is to go outside the park to the various restaurants at Citywalk. There are quite a few pretty decent restaurants there. Most are chains, although they tend to be higher-end chains like Tony Romas, Buca Di Beppo, Cafe Tu Tu Tango, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. (I'm not sure this is opened yet), Hard Rock Cafe, and Wolfgang Puck Cafe. They also have a food court with some of the same fast food chains that are now in the park, but generally at more reasonable prices.

Nope. We were there two weeks ago, and they have walls up announcing its opening in Summer 2006, but it didn't look nearly ready to open yet.

High end? Certainly better than the junk food places in the park.

Pulpscrypt 07-22-2006, 10:28 AM Okay, I know this thread is LOOOOONG dead, BUT: here are a few eatery suggestions in the UNiversal Area!;
1. In park- MYTHOS. THE best theme park restaurant I've ever experienced! Ask for team leader "Robert." A very nice gentleman who knows a lot about the parks and enjoys his workl! Great menu, resonably priced for INSIDE a park food that isn't burgers,a nd a neat setting!
2. High End - Emeril's "Tchoup Chop" at the Royal PAcific Hotel. What can I say, but possibly one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Very eceltic food, impecable service, beautiful decor. Excellent.
3. Mid Range high - Mama Della's at the Portafino BAy Resort. Neat setting if you grew up in an Italian family, great food, strolling musicians. Very Nice!
4. Great "themed" chain - Try any one of the "Juingle Jim's" in the Orlando area. Always a good time for the family, but mostly burgers! Jungle themed, probably not as good as the RainForest (IMHO), buit a little cheaper.

You're also in the wrong state. The OP was asking about Universal Hollywood, not Orlando. Orlando's an awfully long way to go *just* for dinner.
