Yes. Everything you do on MousePad can be seen by certain people. This includes private messages.

This doesn't mean that we do read or monitor these things, but we can, and will if there is a need.

For the record, right now there are exactly three people who would have the ability to read the PMs and calendar entries. As the MousePlanet system administrator, I am one of those three. The other two are members of the MousePlanet staff who help me maintain the database and server. Moderators and Administrators of MousePad do not have immediate access to the records - they would have to make a request that I retrieve them.

I can tell you that the instant someone would try to directly read your posts, I am notified - and it has never happened. We will not read them unless, as Alex explained, we determine that there is a pressing need.

Your privacy is important to us, and we work hard to maintain that. Unless there are problems, you can trust us to stay out of them. (And to be honest, none of us really have the time, energy, or inclination, to read anyone's messages.)

whoa, we have calendars?

Squinky, take a look at the top of the browser window, under the big MousePlanet logo. You see a number of buttons, such as "home," "search," "register" and so on. The last button on the right should be labeled, "calendar." That's the one.
