Actually...it closed down in the 70's...it was in los angeles...actually van nuys...now in its place is the Busch beer plant (actually I believe it the largest plant in the country)...the place is 10 minutes from my house. While I have never been there...my wife used to go there with here family...she has a bunch of old 8mm film of her there...I noticed waterfalls and some rides...nothing exciting. hope that helped...If you want to visit it its on Roscoe & the 405.

One of the older "Above Los Angeles" books has a picture of the place.

I spent a few trips there. I remember it having a whole bunch of log flume rides, and a boat ride that went through an aviary. There was also an elevated beer plant tour.

While it was a small park, it was one of my favorites back then just for the water rides and lush vegetation.

I love/hate driving up the 405 with my vent running. Ah, that wonderful smell of yeast!

My parents work at Monroe High (about 2 minutes from the brewery). After the Northridge quake, the brewery supplied canned water to the neighborhood and school. We still have an Anheiser Busch water can!

I never noticed the smell of yeast when driving by BGT, of course in 96 they closed that brewery. It took them forever to remove everything and demolish that building. It was replaced by Gwazi. The Brewery didn't even really have to be their any more, cause the one in lakeland could do the load.

Does anyone else remember the funhouse that was at Busch Gardens Van Nuys? If so, anyone remember what the name of it was?

OK, I was going to offer to email pics to you fellow time travellers. Instead, I created a little website to share my theme park memories.

Check it out:

The Above LA pics of Busch Gardens and Marineland are there.

My friend gave me some old View-Master reels from Busch Gardens Van Nuys. There are some scanned pics up at the above link.
