Hi, I'm going to Disneyland in Anaheim this August. And I was wondering if somebody here could answer my questions. First of all, I've been to Disneyland before, but this time it's different. This time I am going with my mom, my best friend, and my 5-year-old nephew. That's why this is under parenting. My nephew has never been to Disneyland and I'm not sure of his height but I think it's around 42 inches. Anyway I was just wondering what rides he might like, and stuff like that. We will only be there for a few days. Any advice or anything will help. Thank you.

42" will get him on everything except Indy. I would just try him out and see what he can handle. Some kids hate rollercoaster type rides some love them. You could always start on Gadgets Go Coaster in ToonTown. That is a super quick roller coaster with out anything scary on it. Then I would personally try Splash Mt. next. Work up to Space MT. Even thought it is a "scary" ride the dark can be terrifying to some. My son is 3 and loves every ride. His favorite big ride seems to be Big Thunder. But never fear, there are plenty of slower rides and fun things to do if he is afraid.

Take time to do the little rides even though he's probably tall enough for the big rides. Since it is his first time he should do as many of the little ones as possible. They will capture his imagination more, and that will make the trip more memorable for him and fun for you.

Here is a link to the height requirements for the rides at DL. Anything not listed doesn't have a height restriction (for autopia anyone smaller than the limit must ride with someone who meets/exceeds it)

I suggest you measure your nephew WITHOUT shoes on and then figure out what he can and can't ride. The measuring sticks are sometimes a little bit different depending on how the kid stands and the CM measuring. If he is really close prepare him to know that he might not be able to ride some things. Have a good time.
