Is careerstart the same thing as the college program?

Tif, do you know which set of apartments you've been assigned to yet?

Niwel - Career Start is for High School graduates looking to try their hand in different trades. The College program is for this enrolled in college. At least that is my very basic understanding.

Gotcha -- I'd never heard of that... is it an East Coast program?

I don't know exactly wich apartments I won't know until the day I can check in. All I know is that my destination is the Vista Way apartment complex.

When is your check-in date? Look for hotels located on 535, I think there is a Holiday Inn or something nearby us. I forget. What is your job gonna be? I'm at Vista and I do merchandise at MGM.

My check in date is August 14th, but I will arrive August 13th at like 2 pm. I will be in merchandise, but won't know my exact location until I get there. So another question do you have your car down there with you? I won't and I was wondering how easy it is to use the trasportation system.

Aww, you'll be showing up a week before I leave. Check-in early if you can cuz then you can get more of a choice about a number of roommates or apt. building. I don't have my car down here but I have 3 roomies who do and they are pretty good about letting me tag along when they go to walmart or other places. If you don't have a car I would suggest picking Vista to live at even though it is the older complex. Chatham is newer but Vista has Wendy's and Chick-fil-a next door, Walgreens across the street as well as Bennigan's. If you don't really care about that then pick Chatham cuz it's newer.

So how far apart are Chatham and Vista apart? Sorry for all of my questions, but thanks for all of your help! I'm hopeing that at least one of my room mates will have a car and let me tag along! Do you use the transportation sytem to get to work? and is it pretty easy? Once again thanks for all your help and sorry for all the questions!

I think she might be at work, but I'll remind her to come back and answer your question :)

I think they have it in Califoria too... at least when you call um they ask if you are calling about the program in Orlando, Fl or California... :)

Chatham and Vista are a couple of miles away from each other. The bus system to and from work is pretty easy to use it just kinda sucks sometimes. Like the bus to MGM only comes twice and hour so if you miss one you have to stick around for another half hour. MK and Epcot come more often but you still have to wait. You can get by without a car but it'll just suck for a little while.

thanks for all your help! do the buses run 24hrs a day?? When you got there did you have any choice in what park you wanted to work at?

The buses run until long after the parks close. You generally don't have any input on where you're going to work. They usually let you know the 2nd day.
