View Full Version : Preferred Parking [Universal Orlando] wishiwasthere 06-09-2006, 09:05 AM Does anyone know how much extra preferred parking is at Universal Orlando? MtnBikerChk 06-09-2006, 01:03 PM I wanna say it was $15?! $10 for regular parking. (we were just there in May but obviously I didn't pay much attention lol) If you get there early enough you don't need it though. wishiwasthere 06-11-2006, 11:17 AM We most likely won't use it, especially because we are going the last two days in August. I also read somewhere that if you pay for that you might end up even further than if you would have just stuck with the regular parking. So regular parking it most likely will be. cocoabeach 06-13-2006, 07:46 AM Actually, if you have the preferred annual pass, the preferred parking is $4. Since we usually have one person with the preferred annual pass (the discounts make it all worth it) then it's a no-brainer. Being able to step out of the car and right onto the moving walkways is nice. Also, if the day is slow and you show up after say 10:30AM then they reduce the preferred rate to $4 or $5. wishiwasthere 06-16-2006, 09:03 AM What are some of the discounts with the Preferred annual pass? We are getting 2 day tickets (add on 3 for free). And when you buy 4 you get one free, and we need 5 tickets. So this works out to about $80 dollars a person. cocoabeach 06-23-2006, 08:03 AM What are some of the discounts with the Preferred annual pass? . In your case that's great that you have the perfect number 5 for the deal to work out. We have 5 people in our party but since we have annual trips we like to buy the annual passes and use them for two trips. We usually have one of us get the preferred ($180) and the rest of us get the Power Pass (120). And then we use the passes for two annual trips. All told we get at least 8-10 days out of the passes for all 5 of us for the price of about one annual pass to WDW. Per trip we're paying $60 per person. But the additional benefits of the premium are worth it to us: -Free parking (or 4$ preferred parking). Normally it's like, what, $10 per day -20% off of all food and merchandise. A meal for 5 is about $50. So that's another $10 per meal. -15% off at premium city walk restaurants We usually have at least one meal somewhere nice. -30% off hotel rooms (assuming you want to stay a couple nights there). We haven't stayed at a hotel yet but we are seriously thinking about it for next trip. So in your case... if you are only planning for a single trip at a time, the free 5th ticket kid of kills the idea of getting one premium ticket though maybe if you add up all your meals and figure the 20% it might be worth it. For anyone with less than or greater then 5 people this might be worth serious consideration even for one trip. For us going on two annual trips it's a no-brainer. |
