Great article. Some good tips to keep in mind when traveling.

I fall into the category some would love to have when on vacation -- actually losing too much weight when on vacation -- especially when on theme park vacations. All the walking, excitement, and activities are more than enough to compensate for all of the calories I consume during the trips. I find it too easy to skip meals since my days are so busy during Disney and Vegas trips. For example, I was in Las Vegas last weekend and lost 5 pounds! Not good, knowing the majority of it was water weight.

Keeping this "problem" in mind during trips, hotel fitness centers become a huge factor in trip planning for me since I try to hit the weights heavy a few times accompanied with an effort adding more calories. From experience, I have found that many hotel staff members are usually not helpful when giving details on their on-site gyms. Most of them give typical answers like, "It's good. We have 3 treadmills and a few machines" at best. In the past, I have always found viewing photos on the hotel's website most helpful when trying to determine what kind of fitness center they really have.

I plan on taking a trip to WDW next spring and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the fitness facilities at the Carribean Resort. Also, if you are staying at a Disney property, do you have access to the other Disney hotels' facilities? If yes, which hotel has the best? From personal experience I have found the fitness centers in Anaheim to range from good (DLH) to excellent (GCH).

Any input would be appreciated.

I noticed that just walking each park for the week I was @ WDW, seemed to be exercise enough for me. :)
Even walking DL was a lot of exercise.
