Has anyone gone on this tour? If so, what were your impressions of the tour? Calling Universal was not much help.

I did it last year. It was pretty sweet. The VIP pass doubles as a FOTL pass (although most of the day is consumed by the tour, but I still rode ROTM and JPRA 3x each) and a 25% discount on most merchandise. I didn't do the normal tram tour to compare it against, but we had our own private tram, got to walk along some of the sets, visited the soundstage where Crossing Jordan is taped which was a treat in itself (never watched the show, but it was neat being on a live set with all the set decoration to admire and the versatility of the set when it comes to the taping needs) and of course the prop warehouse which is beyond amazing.

in addition, they still gave me an annual pass voucher (the deal was you buy one day, you get the annual pass).

oh, the VIP lounge was pretty neat too. some extra props you wouldn't normally see, free food and drinks - they even gave us drinks to go out in the park with.
