The release of the sequel to Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe has been postponed from Winter 2007 until Summer 2008.
Prince Caspian, a coproduction between the Mouse House and Walden Media, which owns the rights to the classic C.S. Lewis franchise, was originally scheduled to unspool on Dec. 14, 2007. But Disney opted for the new date after deciding that a game of chicken with [The Water] Horse, hitting theaters Dec. 8, would have ultimately cut into both films' box-office grosses and could have upset its partner's bottom line, considering Walden is a coproducer on the latter.
