What rides can seat a family of four...mom, dad, 4 year old, and 1.5 year old?
For instance we would have to split up for Dumbo, right? Last time we went just with our daughter, it was us 3 in the vehicle...but now we would have to be in 2 flying elephants.
How about Peter Pan? Haunted Mansion? Other dark rides?
Thanks in advance!

I can't really think of all the rides, but Peter Pan can fit three if there is one adult and two kids on the seat, or two slim adults and a small child. The Doom Buggies have about the same amount of space as the Peter Pan vehicles do. Another couple of dark rides, The Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland: they both have about the same amount of space, and you can fit two in back and two in front. You probably know that they ask the children to sit on the inside. Hope this helps a bit:)

The rides with boats can accommodate a group of 4 - "it's a small world," Pirates (when open), Jungle Cruise, Storybookland Canalboats.

You can go two and two in one vehicle on the Fantasyland dark rides - Pinocchio, Snow White, Toad.

You might all be able to fit in one tea cup.

I'm not sure, but I think you should all fit in one section of Casey Jr.

Yes, you can fit 4 in a tea cup and Casey Jr. Most of the others (other then the boats as mentioned) you'll need to ride 2 and 2.

Thank you all!
Another quick question...can my 1.5 year old sit on my lap on any of the rides? I recall on Peter Pan the CM said to have my daughter sitting on her own [not on my lap] and same with the Tea Cups...but on Dumbo...I think she was on my lap.

On boat rides and train rides (Casey, DLRR, monorail,) she can sit on your lap. I think my baby sat on my lap for Dumbo, too.

It also has to do with how consistently they enforce the "rules". I've been on Pooh when they let me put my son on my lap and other times they made a comment that he couldn't.

Just to verify, the question is about Disneyland, correct?

Some of the answers MIGHT be different at Walt Disney World, and I thought it would be worthwhile to verify.

We found that lots of the rides were 3 to a seat, so I would take 1 kid and DH would take the other. It worked out ok.

Thanks everyone...I was hoping I could see the faces of both my kids on the rides. We'll just have to do rides twice I guess. :)

Hi - I'm new to MousePad and was SOOOOO happy to see this question posted! Great minds think alike - I was wondering the same thing. We have a two-year-old and will be headed to Disneyland for his first trip very soon (three weeks!) My husband and I were hoping to be able to ride most of the rides we could, together, with him in our laps. We only get one whole day in Disneyland/DCA, so we are concentrating mostly on what he would like. I was happy to read everyone's replies. Thanks!

The CM said 3 per Doom Buggy when we were boarding.

We fit all 6 of us in the caged car on Casey Jr. But I think like most people said, you are looking at splitting up. I think you will still be able to see both of your kids expressions. If you just take the front row you can just look over your shoulder at Hubby and your other child. Plus those make for great straight on photos...

You will have to do completely separate cars on Peter Pan just like Haunted Mansion.
