I was checking out the new Palms at Office Depot this week and noticed they have Palm V keyboards on clearance (about $27 with tax.) Of course I couldn't resist, so I bought one. It'll be handy for writing my trip report at WDW in June. Besides I love new toys.
I think it'll be annoying to write the whole report in the Memo Pad. Can anyone recommend an app to get?

I enjoy DataViz's Documents To Go.

It'll format your text compositions and it synchs with several Office suite formats (including plain text, if you're so inclined). I use it primarily for viewing and editing Excel worksheets while playing D&D.
If all you're looking for is a text editor, it's probably way more than you need--and cheap it ain't! (it was included with my 505) So depending on when are leaving, you might want to do a Web search on text editors for the Palm and try them out before your trip. I'm sure you'll be able to find one for little or no money.

Oh jeeze, I just re-read these posts and realized my helpfulness quotient ranked around 0.4. My apologies. :(

Oh, I don't know. I did do a search and am trying out Wordsmith. Only a zillion more editors to try...;)

Do you happen to know if that's compatible with a Handspring?

According to the documentation, it is compatible with Palm V series only.
