Fantasmicasaurus 05-08-2006, 03:23 PM Has anyone else played? I have. They are my favorite video games of all time. Vegitabeta 05-09-2006, 05:11 AM I'm about half way through at the moment (the first Kingdom Hearts) and it's driving me mad! I'm stuck in all directions:( If anyone would like to offer advice on it, I'm busy trying to kill the big Ursula, the Parasite Cage in Monstro, and a little stuck in Halloween Town with Lock Shock and Barrel...help! The new one comes out here at the end of the month, but I want to finish this one first preferably! And yes, it is a great game, probably my favorite, I just get angry with it!:) Fantasmicasaurus 05-09-2006, 02:37 PM Ah, an Englishperson. Beleive me, KH2 is four times better than Kingdom Hearts, though it is a smidgeon darker storywise, and some of the worlds you go to seem more like distractions (but are required to see the secret cut scene in Normal mode) than real levels. Disney Castle is a just transition to Timeless River, and Atlantica has become a bunch of music minigames. Hollow Bastion has a much larger role, too. But, hey, first things first. Boss help you want, and you get it. For Ursula, equip Cure Magic in the Quick Cast Menu, or whatever its called. From the get-go, just swim to the back of her head and start smashing. When she says something like: "Now I'm angry!", that means she's about to use suck you in with her breath. So use Mermaid Kick to get away, unless you want to be a meal for an overgrown octopus. Preserve your MP for healing. Using Goofy and Ariel is better than using Donald, too. The Parasite cage is really hard for me. Try using Dumbo as often as you can. You'll avoid damage (unless you're poisoned) and do some to it. With Lock, Shock, and Barrel, lock onto one and whack away. cfitz/pirates 05-09-2006, 08:12 PM I just started playing KH2 absolutly love it im at the pirates of the caribbean world now. I agree so much better than the first. cyberRoo 05-10-2006, 09:51 AM Wow, I must be the only one bored to tears with KH2. I feel like all I'm doing is running from cut scene to cut scene. The worlds are pretty, but seeing the locations is pretty much the only reason I pick up the game. I felt like the first game gave a lot more options and opportunity to really play the game. If I wanted to watch a move, I'd watch a movie. Vegitabeta 05-11-2006, 02:45 AM Ah, an Englishperson. I've defeated Ursula now:) I know that part of the scipt off by heart now though lol. Any way, Lock Shock and Barrel weren't that bad, you're right, maybe I was tired when I did that bit...Still can't manage the Parasite cage though:( I'm trying to kill that shadow of myself in Neverland (I'm sure they multiply as I hit them  I was wondering though, I thought you had to do everything on a level before you can move on, but it doesn't seem that way, a bit confused about that:confused: Fantasmicasaurus 05-12-2006, 03:03 PM Well, actually, you can't truely complete the game unless you seal all of the keyholes, but you can still "beat" it. You won''t get the secret ending in any of the modes, normal or hard, but you can still say you "beat" the game. Try going to this (http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/game/516587.html) strategy page if you need any more help. I would stongly suggest the in-depth Faqs. Lani 05-12-2006, 05:01 PM I am told Stitch makes an appearance in KH2. What I really want is to take a Stitch pet with me through Azeroth in World of Warcraft... but somehow I doubt that'll happen. I'll just have to settle for Mr. Wiggles the pig. disneyperson 05-12-2006, 06:01 PM Loved the first one. The second one is pretty good but the play seems a little too easy and it takes FOREVER before the game really gets going. OK not forever ,but about two hours worth of play if you watch all the movies. It could be it seems easier to me because I was a novice when I played the first game and I'm more experienced now. Still it's gorgeous to look at and the locations are great. It's worth it just to watch the Capt. Jack swagger around. Yes, Stitch is there.:D GusMan 05-12-2006, 06:59 PM Well, Im just starting KH1 and was wondering if someone can lead me to some good guides for the game? I say that becuase (and please dont laugh) I cant get past the first scene. I know I have to gain so many experience points, but I am not sure how to advance. Thanks in advance for any advice. I say that becuase (and please dont laugh) I cant get past the first scene. I know I have to gain so many experience points, but I am not sure how to advance. Thanks in advance for any advice. I've been using this one (http://uk.faqs.ign.com/articles/592/592486p1.html) and it's very helpful. Failing that, there's the strategy book that you can buy. Hope this helps:) disneyperson 05-13-2006, 10:49 AM The cheat book,er I mean strategy guide , for KH1 is very good and pretty too. I looked at the guide for KH2 and it was just confusing.Too many charts and numbers not enough of telling what I need to do . If I get stuck on a game I usually look up a walk through online. There are lots of people out there who want to share the knowledge. I would have thrown my Primal game out the window without help. (stupid underwater gates. Funny I hated the swimming parts in KH too) I understand how frustrated you are stuck on the island. I ran around forever before I found that stupid mushroom. Vegitabeta 05-13-2006, 11:02 AM They brought the strategy guide out for KH2 here a few months back, and the game only comes out at the end of this month! disneyperson 05-13-2006, 12:08 PM They brought the strategy guide out for KH2 here a few months back, and the game only comes out at the end of this month! My daughter has a friend who always buys the guide and plays the gane step by step along with it so he won't "miss any thing". That would take the fun out of it for me. I only resort to help when I'm really stuck and strating to cuss a lot.. The game isn't out in England yet? We got it in March and I think it's been out in Japan for quite awhile. Yeah, I think it comes out on the 26th...and I shouldn't really buy it til I've finished KH1 lol, but whatever! disneyperson 05-14-2006, 12:56 PM Yeah, I think it comes out on the 26th...and I shouldn't really buy it til I've finished KH1 lol, but whatever! Definitely finish the first game before you start the second one. Otherwise you'll be very confused. Vegitabeta 05-14-2006, 01:43 PM I'll take your advice, 'cos I'm already totally confused! Anyone any good a gummi ship building? disneyperson 05-16-2006, 11:42 AM I'll take your advice, 'cos I'm already totally confused! Anyone any good a gummi ship building? I never got the whole gummi ship thing. I locked all the worlds and beat the game with a what I think was a very rickety sub-par ship. That's one thing that's better in the 2nd game. Schmetterling 05-24-2006, 01:18 PM I love KH!! Its so fun. I am Disney maniac so I was excited to see the first one come out. I never beat it. But I got KH2 and beat it in easy mode. I thought it was really fun. I personally liked all the cut scenes. KH2 has better graphics, and everything. I love both of them though. I suggest it for anyone that likes Final Fantasy, and Disney, like I do. Disney Vault 05-24-2006, 06:21 PM I loved the first one and just now picked up KH2 now that I am out of school for summer. I am loving the second one. There is no way I would play it if there were no Disney connections though so I could never get into the final fantasy games. I wonder if they plan on making any more after this. Fitswimmer06 05-25-2006, 07:35 AM I wonder if they plan on making any more after this. Based on the sales I would say they most definately will! I have KH, KH2 and the Game Boy Chain of Memories game. I've finished "none" of them, but I'm having a lot of fun anyway. I'm waiting to see if the KH3 comes out for XBOX 360 or Playstation 3. If they put it on the PS3, I'll be really annoyed because that system is going to cost $600 Disney Vault 05-25-2006, 11:52 AM I'm waiting to see if the KH3 comes out for XBOX 360 or Playstation 3. If they put it on the PS3, I'll be really annoyed because that system is going to cost $600 I was thinking the same thing. The only games that would be able to get me to buy a PS3 are Grand Theft Auto and any future kingdom hearts games. And now GTA is going to come out on both PS3 and XBox 360 so now I am just wondering about KH. I hope if they make more it is for both systems. Mox 05-25-2006, 12:37 PM Even though Square Enix has just released Final Fantasy XI on the Xbox 360, I'd be really surprised to see a future installment of Kingdom Hearts on that console. I think bringing the FFXI to the 360 is mainly a means for Microsoft to promote their expansion of Xbox Live to Live Anywhere which will allow PC players to play against Xbox players in online multiplayer games (such as FFXI). Otherwise, Square has been nearly exclusively a PlayStation developer of late. A recent notable exception (besides their GBA stuff) was Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for the Nintendo Gamecube. Square has announced a sequel to that game and the next game in the Dragon Quest series for Nintendo's new console, the Wii. That is the console apart from the PS3 that I would expect to see the next Kingdom Hearts game, especially if the handheld version continue to be on the GBA/DS. Fantasmicasaurus 05-25-2006, 01:18 PM I think it would be interesting if the next Kingdom Hearts came out on the Wii. Just think: The controller could be used to wield a keyblade, and when in a drive with two keyblades, you could go wild, hacking and slashing away at Heartless, one after another. Also, you could cast spells while wielding only one keyblade with a flick of the wrist. And, for those who want original KH/KH2 gameplay, you could put the controller in the "original controller" position, and Viola! Vegitabeta 05-30-2006, 03:40 AM I just went on Amazon this morning and discovered that the release date for KH2 has been put back to August 25th...I'm not a happy bunny. |
