So when do you and I sign up for sleep deprivation classes? ;)
Um, I think I can be the instructor.... :p

Is there anything formal set up to match people up who maybe interested in coming but will be coming alone? I have never been but it sounds fun and would like to split hotel expenses with someone. As my daughter will be in school and I would come down all by myself. Just curious, I am a newbie and any help would be appreciated !

Thank you all!
Samantha

As far as I know, there is no formal process for matching up roommate candidates. Nothing prevents you from starting a thread to that effect, though. Please remember that MousePlanet can not guarantee the conduct of anyone that you might meet online, and any arrangements that you might make are at your own risk.

Thanks Mark for the advice! I think I will start a new thread. Also thnaks for the warning, I am married to a retired federal agent and I myself am a brown belt in Tai Kwan do so I pity the poor evil dooer who would want to room with me! LOL!

( DID I MENTION HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS BOARD AND THE FRIENDLY PEOPLE!?)

Well, I was on Southwest making my reservation for a return flight from my October business trip and the lure was just too much for me, with that December schedule and an $89 (total) flight, sooo...I'm coming to MouseFest!

I am this excited because I was so disappointed not to be able to come last year. Now, I won't whine at Mark any more, so he'll be extremely relieved, in his perpetually exhausted MouseFest stupor, not to have me bugging him to post more.

Mark - I'm coming in the 6th and leaving on the 11th and I'm up for anything. I'll attend every MP event and will be happy to help with anything, if I can, to take some of it off your shoulders. I know you always say no but I'm great at small stuff that drives others crazy!

Now just try to talk Drince into renewing her AP and coming!

YAAAAY!!! Leslie's coming! :D

Heck, in that stupor, there's nothing that can really bother me too much.

Wait, leaving on the 11th and you have your plane tickets? Southwest is only booking through the 10th? How did you do that? I have my flight down, but not my flight back yet. I have to wait for the 11th to go on sale! (And thanks for the offer. As we get closer, I'll let you know.)

Now just try to talk Drince into renewing her AP and coming!
Yeah! Cathy, c'mon and join us! :D

And back to the main topic. I've scheduled the meets and officially submitted them, so we're locking in the times. I'll be unstickying this thread, and I'll create RSVP threads for all of the meets in the next couple of weeks.

Here's the schedule for the MouseFest meets that MousePlanet will have an official presence at:

Thursday, December 7, 3:00 p.m.
Dole Whip Meet
Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom's Adventureland
Come and hang out with other MousePlanet fans and staffers and chat while enjoying Mike Scopa's favorite frosty treat!

Friday, December 8, 11:30 a.m.
Mini-MouseAdventure
Flame Tree Barbecue, Disney's Animal Kingdom
Join us for another edition of the shorter, non-competition version of our flagship event, MouseAdventure, which is held twice each year at the Disneyland Resort. This second annual Florida version will be run at Disney's Animal Kingdom for a new experience.

Saturday, December 9, 1:00 p.m.
Mega Mouse Meet
Location to be determined, WDW Dolphin Hotel
The main event of MouseFest, join us for the mass meet-and-greet where you can find your favorite webmasters, writers, authors, podcasters and other Disney Internet celebrities.

Saturday, December 9, 5:30 p.m.
Shocolatte Mousssse Meet
Boulangerie Patisserie, Epcot's France pavilion
Join us after the Mega Mouse Meet to consume the favorite dessert of MousePad readers.

How long is the mimi-mouse adventure? IF we were able to go (and I'll only say maybe because we are taking a rather long/expensive christmas vacation thay will probably involve a visit to Disneyland Paris) we wouldn't be able to get to the AK until about 3:00 at the earliest.

Are there any evening events planned?

Sorry if I wasn't clear...yes, I'm leaving on the 11th and no, SW's schedule doesn't go past the 10th. I've only got my inbound flight on the 6th. Which, BTW, drives me insane!

Now, I'm only worried about what trouble I'll get into when I go online to book my return flight for the 11th...who knows what I'll talk myself into! ;)

The mini-MA runs about 2 hours from instructions to wrap-up. By the time that you arrive at 3:00, the events will have moved over to the Disney-MGM Studios, as Friday will be a split day.

That evening, I'm sure that there will be an Osborne Lights meet, a Fantasmic meet, etc. None of those have hit the official schedule yet, though. We're just at the start of officially scheduling the meets. (I'm on the committee, so I took the liberty of grabbing our times first. ;) ) You'll start seeing dates appear on the MouseFest site in a few days. Deb's working on the calendar page now.

OK, so then we're in the same boat. (I'm landing at 10:05 on 12/6.)

AM or PM? I'm landing at 10:15 AM on 12/6! Where are you staying? I'm over at SSR, are you taking DME?

(and should I add a BTW or MCO or some other abbreviation?! LOL)

Come on, Jenn! I feel you leaning towards coming! You know you wanna come - you've gotta use those new passes I'm pretty sure I heard you mention in another thread. Get Andrew back on here and we'll start working on him (subtly, can't you tell?)

I'm going to try talk him into it. . . but it is going to be a last minute/budget type of trip. We can't really pull the kids out of school early, and we are going to Europe about 2 weeks later (hence the visit to DLP)

It does sound like fun. . . . Once he gets back into Disney (as soon as our new AP's become active) I'm sure he'll get into it.

He was so personable and friendly and seemed totally into it for the Everest Meet. It would be great to see you two again, so I hope it works out. This real life stuff just keeps gettin' in our way! ;) But the trip "over the pond" sounds like a fabulous adventure so that's a pretty darned good consolation prize!

AM. I'm going to be at Scopa Towers. (Have to make that phone call soon!) Not taking DME due to the need to have a car for many out-of-the-ordinary transports during MouseFest.

As soon as I get there and check in, I have to head off and do a bunch of work to prepare for events later in the weekend.

After the three-family trip in a 3BR Grand Villa in August, we're well into our 2007-2008 points. We need to catch up for family vacations, so my solo trip will be on the cheap. Besides, I need to give the Scopa Towers a try. :)

I figured you were probably on "borrowed" points!;) I would love to go to MouseFest! I'm thinking of how to get myself there. My husband is fine with me going alone, but I may have a committment with my son's school that week. I won't know until September! :(

I'll miss ya at MCO, then. Scopa Towers is my favorite Value; I think you'll like it for a "value-ful" trip. I'm trying to rent points but if I don't get a deal, I'll be joining you around the Towers. (Not meant to be a threat!)

I am in awe of how much work and time you put into this event -- let me thank you now, in advance. All the MPers that attend MouseFest will be grateful for what you make happen. :geek:

Hey, if you're getting in at 10:15am and I'm getting in at 10:05am, we just may run into each other. (And if you end up at the Towers and aren't checking luggage, I'll give you a lift so that you can avoid the DME line. (Unless you like the line....)

I like the way you think! LOL:D

And to second what Leslie said, thanks for all you do! We really appreciate your hard work and effort!!
