SteveK 04-11-2006, 06:00 PM I ordered mine a couple of weeks ago and I'd encourage anyone that's interested to order as early as possible. Notice this small print note at the bottome right hand side of the page:
"Pre-ordering does not guarantee you will receive the book as supplies
are limited. You will only be charged when the book is shipped to you."
MammaSilva 04-11-2006, 09:42 PM I preordered mine several weeks ago with the hope that earlier means 'more likely"
TowerofTerror 04-11-2006, 09:44 PM I wanted to order one but I `ll wait and maybe someone will get me one.
Gone2Disneyland 04-19-2006, 01:44 PM I preordered mine several weeks ago with the hope that earlier means 'more likely"
Ditto here. :) I'm starting to "worry" now and wondering if I shouldn't order the standard version as a backup.
Whadda geek! :geek:
RStar 04-25-2006, 04:33 PM They said it would ship in April. There's only 4 more days in April and as far as I can tell, it hasn't shipped yet. At least my order hasn't, and I ordered it 6 weeks ago.... :(

JeffG 04-25-2006, 09:46 PM From what I've heard, they have started shipping them, but initially to those that selected the "expedited shipping" option.

Gone2Disneyland 05-02-2006, 08:01 PM I'M. SO. JEALOUS!
Well, at least that means mine should be on its way. Thanks for posting.
mypupmickey 05-02-2006, 08:19 PM I got mine today too! I haven't had time to do more than glance through it. Not sure if I'd get one again, but we'll see. Still need to check out the DVD. I'm interested in knowing what others think as they receive them.
mypupmickey 05-08-2006, 01:54 PM About shipping: As I mentioned, I received mine last week (5/2) but just today (5/8) received an email that it had shipped. So yours may be on its way even if you didn't get an email! :)
Mark Goldhaber 05-08-2006, 07:17 PM I received both my book and my shipping notice today. Haven't had time to look at it yet, though.
dingdong2U 05-11-2006, 06:42 PM Got mine in the mail today too. Nice photos, good articles. Reminds me of the old "Disney Magazine" when it was still in publication but on a much grander scale.
But, that notwithstanding, there is a lot to be desired as well. Some articles seem to go into alot of detail on their subject while others keep on making you wish that they had said more.
All in all though, the book +DVD while pricey at $49.95 is worth the money. If you don't feel like shelling out that much dough, the softcover version contains the same information minus the DVD.

oregontraveler 05-17-2006, 08:53 AM I got the book yesterday. There are 5 chapters: Wonderful World, Disneyland's Golden Celebration, Disney In Depth, From The Vault & Fond Farewells. The main feature on the DVD is 35 minutes. My first impression is that they spent more time talking about what's in the book than taking advantage to show more footage of various events. There is also a slideshow, trivia game, and a motion picture tour with Dave Smith which I liked the most. While the book covers the entire year of all things Disney. I
enjoyed the historical articles. Lost Disney looks at Adventures Thru Inner Space & Liberty Street that never was.
