My dd is 4 and is going to be thrilled to find we are taking her this year. Are there any hints, tips advice on what to do or stay away from? What about food. Are there any places we should definately hit? Also I will have a baby with us, is LL set up like DL where it is pretty mom/child friendly?

And one more question. Is there a good place to eat outside of the park that we can hit on our way back to our hotel in Anaheim?

Thanks so much - she is going to be so excited if I can get this all planned and have it all go off like I know what I am doing! :D

Well I work at Legoland so I think I can give you some info... I hope

Now first things first.. Is Legoland as mom and baby friendly as Disneyland?

Well all the rides with the exception of Coast Cruise, Fairy Tale Brook and Legoland Express; all have height requirments. Your childs height will determine how many rides you will be able to do. If it will be just you and your child and the baby going to park that may open up a problem.

Most of the rides require any child under 48" tall to be accompanied by a friend 48" or taller. Now the baby won't be allowed on any of the rides except for the 3 that I mentioned earlier. So as I said if it is just the three of you that may serve as a problem.

If you will have another adult or child over 48" tall with you then simply ask the MC at the ride to do a "Baby Swap", this will allow you to swap the baby off to the other responsible adult in your party and allow you to ride also.

When you show up at the park, make a left and follow the path all the way to Sky Cruiser, it is the slowest loading ride in the park and therefore always has the longest line even on slow days. If you come during Summer anytime you can expect a 90-120 minute wait on most Summer days.

As far as food goes... its really up to your preference, if you like Italian then Restorante Brickolini in the Playtown area has that. If BBQ is more your thing then you can try Knights Table in Knights Kingdom. One hint.. try Granny's Apple Fries in Knights Kingdom... very good :-)

As far as outside eating goes... their are a bunch of restraunts just west of the park including: Claim Jumper, Marie Callender's. McDonalds. In' n Out Burger.

If I can be of any other help please feel free to let me know...

Also - Miniland is great to check out. You will be able to tell quick if they are into it or not - if they are then walk the area. If not then it is a good way to shortcut to another area of the park.

There is also play areas - good for a 4 year old. One is outside (the play area by the water play area) and one is inside (by the pizza food place). Both are good areas for the younger kids. Also the outside one is the one that has the Legoland Express - a small train ride that is a cue little train for the kids.

You may also want to check out the shows - they are not my thing and my kids do saw them once and that was it for them lol. But they are a good option for the family.

As far as outside food - I really like the 'Islands restaurant'. A great family style burger place with a tropical feel to it. The food is good, and will not make a large dent in your wallet. The kids meals comes with fries, the adult meals do not - so get an order of fries - they are great! It is located at 889 Palomar Airport Road, this is thier site: http://www.islandsrestaurants.com/

But if I do eat inside the park then we eat at the Funtown Market - they have a nice Philly Cheesesteak.
