Hi,
I've never been to Universal Studios before. My husband and I are going from may 21-27th. We booked online directly from the Universal site and got (2) 7 day 2-park tickets for $111/each. From what I am seeing and hearing, it looks like you can get through the parks in a day or so. Did I waste money?

We also plan to go to Wet N Wild, Sea World and Busch Gardens, so thankfully we have more to do. I wanted to go to Discovery Cove as well, but though $280 a piece was a bit pricey for a 30 minute dolphin swin, food and some swimming. It looks tempting though. Has anyone been? Is it worth it?

Thanks!

If it isn't very busy, you *can* get through both parks in a day or two, but you would be rushing and would probably miss quite a bit. I typically spend at least 3 days there...

As for wasting your money? There are a bunch of ticket options - and some might be cheaper for you... kind of depends on what you want to do.

There is the Flex-Pass, which gets you into the 2 Universal parks, Sea World, Wet & Wild, and (for additional cost) Busch Gardens. This would probably be your best bet, since you want to do all those parks.

You could also look into an annual pass:

I was not aware that Universal Orlando had 7 day tickets. A two day two park ticket costs $99.95 (plus tax) and can come with 3 extra days for free (or you can pick to have the 2nd day have a no expire option). So if you are going to both parks you could not have saved much by getting a differant ticket. While you can do both parks in one day each I think you will find that it will be nice having the option of a third day (or more even).

Really I would not think of it as a waste I would think of it as the ability to go back to the parks whenever you want during your trip.

Is it safe and true to go on-line and order tickets for Univeral Studios?? I am going in June with a total of 2 adults and 2 children. I wonder if I should purchase tickets prior to trip?

I wouldn't see why not... unless you are really adverst to buying things over the internet.

You might be able to get tickets cheaper through other online sites rather than directly from Universal. I have used Ticketmania before and had good results:

THANKS SO MUCH! I will check this out. I hardly ever have used internet for purchases other than from stores. Ebay - was a disaster- I guess I did not really know what I was doing, because I could never get my credit. HA HA

In my opinion... you definitely did not waste any money! You paid for 7 days what most pay for two! IF you race through the park, do everything only once and get express upgrades you MAY get it done in a day... but WHY? Take the time to enjoy, do your favorites over and over - experience a wonderful, relaxing vacation that most of us only dream about... no hurrying or rushing and no worrying about weather or crowds...just enjoy! I wish I was fortunate enough to be able to spend and devote three, four, five or even six days there! Have a great trip!:D

If you are going to Sea World, Busch and Wet & Wild as well as USF I would definately check on upgrading your ticket before using it to a Flex Pass, good at all those parks for 14 consecutive days. If not, no you did not waste money, you got extra days for free. We like to spend 3 days at USF and IOA, but my son would ride Men in Black for hours and days straight and be thrilled. He went into the park by himself to do just that last trip while we lingered over coffee and packed and brought the luggage to the car. (Of course we were staying next door at the Hard Rock).
