I'm sure you're well aware of the rumor surrounding Disney Cruise Line's blatant disappearance from the summer 2007 line-up of cruises. I'm sure you're probably also well aware of the rumors circulating the whereabouts of the ship. Well, to play into those rumors (and to perhaps just have a bit of fun with their Guests, Disney Cruise Line has a new teaser game to try to guess the ports before they are announced later this month.

Mystery at Sea (http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/dcl/en_US/cruises/mysteryAtSea?name=MysteryAtSeaPage)

Try to unlock the clues and guess the ports. If you can...

Also, for Mac users, I've been completely unable to consistently get the page loaded in Safari, and am using Firefox.

For more information on the release of the 2007 summer cruises, you can visit Mousesavers 2007 Cruise information page (http://www.mousesavers.com/dcl2007.html)

That would be because Disney believes that only IE on Windows matters.

I did finally manage to get it loaded in Opera 8.52 on Windows. Anyone remember their Morse?

If it did go there, that would be cool.
I used a Morse Code translator, but I think I goofed:
THE QUEEN JUST LOVES THE PIE

Never mind, I figured it out:
A true Baked Alaska starts with the meringue. A meringue is a "patisserie" made from egg whites and sugar. Patisserie is the French word for various preparations made of pastry and generally baked in the oven... Queen Marie-Antoinette had a great liking for meringues.

Niwel, you've got it.

Andrew, I can thoroughly relate. Grumbling right along side of you.

They are posting a new set of coordinates, code, and images each day. Maybe we should log them?

the message from yesterday said that it set sail from Port Canaveral and the coordinates were for Castaway Cay and the coordinates to sail to were for NYC or NJ seaport somewhere (my globe reading is a little rusty, so have to rely upon the teenager here.) He was pretty upset with me when I kept insisting Portugal. LOL!

There are new coordinates and morse code!!!! :D

The coordinates point to Amsterdam, and the morse code spells out, "Magic Awaits. Hot lava has gone to the birds." (Whatever the heck that means......)

This is all driving me NUTS. Disney's official announcement is supposed to be March 21st, and I am probably driving my travel agent crazy with the constant "heard anything yet?" "heard anything yet?" (I'll bet he was glad I was gone when this all broke)

Me too, AVP, but I'm kind of excited all at the same time. :D

(I'll bet he was glad I was gone when this all broke)Actually, the agents do know, but they can't release anything yet. (I even tried bribing to no avail. ;) ) Disney won't allow them to tell. :(

However, there is new stuff today -

The coordinates point to halfway across the Pacific, heading toward Japan/Philippines. And the morse code reads, "ENJOYING THE PIGEONS AND THE EMBRACE."

Any ideas on what that morse code message could mean?

Still figuring it out -- but for those who don't understand Spanish ... the fisherman said :
'The great ship was there and then was gone."

OK-- total long shot:
"Embrace Me A Little Dove (http://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewshortstory.asp?AuthorID=9910)
Went to wikipedia. Pigeon is a kind of dove -- someone wrote this short story about it. no idea what it means...

This is absolute torture. I've seriously lost sleep this past week, wondering what the big news will be. Ugh!!

I'm an idiot -- i'm a copy editor and I should realize that spelling is everything....
Maybe the word should be
Pidgin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hawaiian_Pidgin)
because my coordinates got me to
Hawaii -- and that's the language!

Good one!!!!

Now.... to figure out....

The "embrace" portion. I'm thinking it's a statue or sculpture. I'll add in Hawaii to my research on that part and see if there are any more leads.....

Feel free to send any and all bribes my way. :D Not that I have anything to share, mind you!! LOL!

(But, um.... what kind of cookies do you like?? ;) )

I just consulted my fiance, who's travelled the world extensively, and this was his solution to the current morse code:

Venice, Italy - lots of pigeons, and the "embrace" would refer to the Michaelangelo Mary/Jesus piece.

Hmmmm.

As I hit myself in the head:
"Lilo and Stitch" would have done it -- "a fond embrace" from the song Aloha oe:
Aloha `oe, aloha `oe
E ke onaona noho i ka lipo
"One fond embrace", a ho`i a`e au
"Until we meet again."
