hi,
well we 're glad to announce that we 'll be soon grandparents of twins. The little ones are due in mid june but with spina bifida they will try to correct it..
anyway we 're thinking about celebrating an anniversary in december and take the kids with us... any one here with babies or kids with spina bifida?
the mommy has some condition that keeps her in a wheelchair during such days, and we were refused 2 times the gac last year (the gac... doesnt exist for us but when u really annoy the cms, they finally hand it to u! its a scandal)... so any advice on taking babies with special needs to dl?
thanks for ur help
David

First off Congratulations GrandPA ;).....my prayers to you and Jules and the babies....taking any infants to the parks takes patience, taking special needs infants even more so. The baby center will be your new favorite attraction.

I don't want to sound negative, but your expectations may be too high. It is great that you are so excited about your grandbabies that you are planning Disney trips before they are even born. But you may want to wait and see how everyone adjusts before making permanent plans. Having a baby is a stressful, happy, exhausting time. Having twins is 10 times that. Having twins with special needs...............You may just want to wait a bit before putting money down.

Its really sweet how excited you are.

Good luck with everything!!

I have to agree. I was talking to my sister about it because she's dealt with cases like this. It's almost impossible to say before they're born if the doctor will release them for international travel at such a young age.
