The battle to move the video store into your living room is getting more heated, as Walt Disney spinoff MovieBeam will announce today a new on-demand service that makes movies available the same day they're released on DVD.
MovieBeam, which is backed by Cisco Systems and Intel, hopes that making new titles from Disney, Miramax and Touchstone available the same day they are released in DVD format will give it an advantage over other movie providers, such as Los Gatos-based Netflix or Comcast.
