Just wanted to inform everyone that Knights Tournament, the new robotic arm attraction at Legoland is currently closed until further notice.

The ride was being cycled on Saturday morning and it faulted. Something happened to where maintenence could not "manually" move the arms back down into the station. This being a potential safety problem for the guests, it was shutdown.

Legoland has contacted the ride manufacturer in Germany and they are flying someone to California to attempt to repair/reprogram the ride.

So therefore all attractions MC's have been told that Knights Tournament will be closed until further notice.

That is sad My son wanted to see this. We will be there on the 20th.

What is even worse is that Legoland, has not to this day updated their website to state that the ride is currently closed. I have heard many times over the last two weeks that it has been closed, of families coming specifically for this ride, and its closed.

I as an employee of Legoland am very disappointed in the handling of this problem. At least put something on the website, saying the ride is closed.

Also just be aware the ride is scheduled to go down again for another refurbishment from May 1 - 12, 2006. Plan accordingly.

As of today I have not heard when the ride will re-open. If I find anything out I will be sure to post it.

OK good news... Knights Tournament at Legoland California is now back in operation. It was no longer listed on the DFAM (Down for annual maintenence) list that they give us attraction MC's. Just be aware at this time according to the website it is still scheduled to be closed again in May for another refurbishment....
