I'm there in my dreams. Does that count? Oh, and in my dreams, there are few people in the park today, very little waiting! Everything is up and running, and the fireworks and F! will both happen this evening- with plenty of time to get from one area to the other so you can watch both.

I like to dream. LOL

We will be there next week Thursday, Friday & Saturday...how do you think the crowds will be? Thanks!

I hope the crowds aren't too bad. We will be there the same time!

There was no one there last week. We walked on Space Mountain and most of the other rides. I think the crowd levels will be pretty low until mid-February. This is, historically, a good time to go.

Have a great time!

I head up to Dland in the afternoons (drive up from SD) and typically get there about 2ish.

I went up yesterday, for the first time since before the holidays, and I seriously was SHOCKED at how light the crowds were. I debated about whether to go up, figuring some folks may have done a long week since Monday had been a holiday, etc., and knowing the last several Fridays I went were quite crowded, even at some other otherwise light weeks.

I got there about 2:30 and was the first car on the Donald level...nice and close...walked right onto a tram, waited under five minutes to enter DL, and walked right into Blue Bayou, which sounded good after someone mentioning lunch going until 3. I couldn't believe it. Food was good and was in and out by 3, having parked, entered the park, and had a meal!

When I walked in the park I looked at the board with wait times. Nothing was over 10 minutes standby at that time, and the only one at 10 was Space.

I seriously looked at my phone to check the date and time, thinking I was all screwed up about what day it really was...despite having worked all week.

It was the emptiest I've seen DL in probably years...it was lighter than it's been on relatively early mornings on a rainy midweek day...and it was a beautiful Friday, heading into later afternoon.

Granted it got a bit more crowded by about 6...but even still, much lighter than it had been in evenings later in summer, and zero comparison to any Fridays I think I'd ever been. I was SHOCKED!

It was GREAT! The longest wait I had was under 15 standby at Space. I literally walked onto BTMRR, Small World, Soarin' 3 times, POC twice, and then Space under 10 minutes the other three times, and Matterhorn under 10, and I was out of the park at 7.

The crowds were light enough that I kept seeing the same people over and over, and CMs would ask how the last go round was on things, etc.

The only true 'wait' I experienced was getting back into DLand about 6:30...and it was only because there were only 4 lines opened at the time...even still, it wasn't a long wait at all. The only real line I saw other than that was at the bank.

I had a blast! It was a perfect Dland day!

I hope the days you're up there are as light! It was so nice to be able to move through the park so quickly and easily, and enjoy some long walks all over both parks just for fun!

P.S. Despite all my trips up there, I actually didn't know about the Rancho bathrooms and pathway until the secrets thread the other night! So thanks for the tip guys!!

We leave in the morning, and I am a little nervous because it was a lot harder to get a room than it was in June and Dec. I see that there is a conference of 6500 realtors there next week, maybe that's why. Hopefully they aren't all interested in visiting the park.
I am so excited, we will be there for 7 nights! Our longest DL trip yet. One of our DD's is turning five while we are there and we are going to have two character meals that day, breakfast with Minnie and friends, and dinner with the Princesses! She is so excited, her grandma gave her money to get a build-a-bear while we are there too. Fun, fun, fun!:p

DH just surprised me tonight with a last minute trip. Jan. 29 - Feb. 1st. He has us at the DLH for $89. a night (AP) We are sooo excited.

This will be our first January trip. PLEASE tell me it will be dry. DD is 2 years old. Although, she loves the rain, I wouldn't want her out there in it. We are having a great deal of rain up here in Northern Cal. I did check the 7 day forecast all looks ok up until Friday. I'll have to keep an eye on that and hope that the rain doesn't follow us down. And that the crowds are still light.

DD is really excited about the new Monsters, INC. ride. We are too! :)

I would buy them outside of the park, they're usually a lot cheaper. It's especially good on cold days to wear them on Grizzly River Run and Splash Mountain. Rainy days are your friend when it comes to crowds in Disneyland.

We were there the 17th-21at and the crowds were very light . We met friends there, who planned a last minute trip, only booking their hotel room a month ago, and they had a hard time finding an opening (they found on eat the DL hotel). Despite the fact rooms were booked, crowds were minimal.

Have fun!

I stopped in Last friday around 8pm and it was pretty empty. Longest line was 40 minutes for Space, however the fast pass times were only 45 minutes out. Grabbed a few of those and headed elsewhere. The hub wasn't even full for the fireworks!

We also went on Friday and it was not that crowded. In the day the lines were all less than 15 minutes. By about 6 the lines were longer and the park more crowded, but still about 20 minutes for Indy and 40 for Space Mountain. People were not lined up fro the fireweorks until about 8!

I loved it!

We were at the resort all day on Sunday. We were meeting a friend of mine and her party, so we got there around park opening. The DL turnstiles were inexplicably slow, so even though the line wasn't that long, it took about 15 minutes to get through it and actually got into the park around 9:30. After meeting them at the porch, we headed to Space Mountain, which was about a 15 minute wait. After that, we went on Buzz, which was about a 10 minute wait. Headed towards Indy - pretty much a walk on all the way to the loading area, and when we got off, there was still no line, so we went on it again. Pirates was about a 5 minute wait. Wandered over to Small World - about a 10 minute wait. Went to lunch at Pizza Port after that - lots of tables available. Headed over to DCA (and encountered more slow-moving lines) and ended up going to the Aladdin show, which was about to start. The orchestra section was already closed, so we had to go to the mezzanine and ended up sitting towards the back because all the other seats were already taken. After the show, went on Tower - about a 20 - 25 minute wait. Headed to the wharf area, making a stop at the tortilla exhibit to get a snack. Went on the Sunwheel - about a 20 - 25 minute for both the moving and non-moving cars. Wandered over to Soarin, but it was a 40 minute wait so decided to skip that. Left DCA just as Block Party Bash was starting in the first zone. Again, the line into DL was excrutiatingly slow - don't know what the deal was. Had dinner at Plaza Inn. The wind was blowing pretty good, so it was fairly cold out, so most people tried to find seating indoors, so of course it was crowded. I ended up staking out a table while the others in our group got the food. We were in there for a while, eating and chatting. Afterward, they left, we wandered around on an errand for a few minutes and then left around 7:30. The lines for the trams were pretty long, so we decided to walk back to the parking structure instead. I haven't encountered DL this uncrowded in quite some time. It actually felt like off-season for the first time in years!

Wow, seems like California Adventure had bigger lines than Disneyland. I always thought California Adventure was busier on off season times.

I think DCA was more crowd due to the fact yesterday was the red carpet premiere for the Monster Inc Mike and Sulley to the Rescue

I believe that DCA is known to normally be busier on Sundays than other days.

Just wanted to chime in here too about my latest visit to Disneyland. I was also there this past Sunday.

My group of four walked thru the Disneyland gates by 9:30 a.m. for breakfast at Carnation Cafe. Expecting to see the typical long line there, we found only one small party ahead of us, so we were seated basically immediately. We joked we must've had good line karma because about fifteen minutes later, the long line had appeared.

After a delicious and leisurely breakfast of MM waffles, etc., we headed to Space Mountain; the wait was 25 minutes, and we picked up FPs for later. We headed to Pirates and the wait wasn'tt even 5 minutes. When we got off Pirates and walked into The Golden Horseshoe, the 11:45 a.m. show started immediately after we sat down in our seats, which was the last upstairs table closest to the stage, on the right side facing the stage (They played "I'm Just a Country Boy at Heart," "Ghost Riders in the Sky," their Beatles medley, an instrumental version of some of their classic jokes (e.g., their "crisco" joke was followed with a little bit of "Stayin' Alive"), Orange Blossom Special/The Train Thing, and finally "The Devil Went Down to Georgia.").

Afterwards, we rode The Indiana Jones Adventure; the wait was also about five minutes. Then we headed back to Space Mountain, grabbing some FPs for Buzz Lightyear which was down (I suspected it was closed for VIPs coming over from the Monsters Inc. red carpet thing happening at DCA). After Space Mountain trip #2, Buzz was indeed reopened, but we rode Star Tours first to use up the last fifteen minutes left on our BL FPs. Buzz was our final ride before we headed over to DCA to explore what exactly was going on with the red carpet thing.

Coincidentally, right at the Disneyland Main Entrance we thought (and later confirmed) we saw Jon Voight being escorted into Disneyland by a CM. Ironically, the lines into DCA seemed long; it was probably around 2pm. We didn't do much in DCA. Entering the Hollywood Backlot we were greeted by a sign saying Monster Inc. and Muppet Vison (yes, that typo was on the sign; that bugged me) would be closed. We ended up getting hot dogs and fries at Award Weiners and hanging out trying to find any more celebs, but failed. Fun it was fun. We left DCA around 3pm.

Long story short, there were no crowds at Disneyland while we went on rides, took in a show, and had breakfast earlier in the day.

Hey everyone, Im headin out in about an hour to go down and hang out at the resort tonight. Anyone been there today or there now? Just wonderin how the crowds are.

Went tonight for a few hours. Parked on Daisy near the escalators (2nd floor), both Spash Mountain and Space Mountain was 10 minutes.

That should be enough to give you an idea on the crowds heh.

It's supposed to drizzle tomorrow! Sometimes it is hard for me to believe when the sky doesn't have a cloud in it. This weekend should be nice. I predict Friday crowds to be very light and increasing Saturday and Sunday.

Just wondering what your forecasts on the crowds tomorrow will be. I'm planning to get there around 1p and stay till maybe 9pm. Thanks for your help! =D

Ok wow, I meant for the 27th *smacks self in the face with his guitar*

San Diego forecast says drizzle. I wouldn't worry. Bring a sweat jacket. Oh, you mean crowd-wise. It has been off season crowds lately. It'll stay like this until Valentine's day.

Well after being there last Friday (very light) and today, I'd say go for it and it should be light again.

Today I had a first. Went to Soarin' with FPs, for no reason other than we got them for the heck of it...no real line... Anyway, went back to use them about 5:40 after doing Monsters and Screamin' and we were sent to the left while everyone else went right.

They only sent two dozen more people down (there were 5 waiting actually down in the loading area vs the line area in the hallway where they hold you where the other 24 of us were). They sent everyone else (and actually there had been a 15 or 20 minute wait lined up in the non-FP line outside...so still folks around...and more than when we had gotten the FPs earlier)

Kept waiting for more to come, as we saw them load the 'flight' before us full as usual and knew there were plenty of folks lined up. But since we were first in line behind the other 5 in the boarding area, we were excited to know we'd get the front row and center.

We got better than that! They ONLY loaded the 2nd section, and so we were right at the very center of the center car, and it was only the 30 of us that went...so only the middle section even raised and moved. The other two stayed down. It was INCREDIBLE!

I'm not sure how the 30 of us lucked out to get the place to ourselves...and then for us to have timed it and wound up exactly in the the front row and center...it was just awesome! :D

Anyway, hopefully you'll enjoy the same light crowds tomorrow as I saw last week and then with friends today!
