I'm glad the people who went to California Adventure had a good time. It's a great park!:D

forgot to mention the music was pretty bangin as well, ive got the techno "its a small world stuck in my head" and one of the performers in front of the castle mentioned anamazement, that was an awesome show.At about 1ish i went to california adventure to ride monsters inc. and to my astonishment they were blasting 50 cents "candy shop" in the entire area lol i really liked the enthusiasm and energy of the performers there even though the place was kind of dead lol

I was shocked that outside of Small World they were playing "Brass Monkey" at about 1!!

New Year's Eve was the last day of our trip and we had a great time. We started out with early entry at 0700 and walked on dozens of rides by 0930 when we took a break and headed for our character breakfast at the Plaza. Had a great time there, went on a few more rides and headed for to see Santa Claus and the reindeer. Absolutely awesome time with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The park was still pretty slow. Our family was picked as the parade grand marshalls and that was exciting. It was about 1330 and starting to rain. In no time at all we were soaked but we hung in there and went on a few more rides. Baby was asleep all snug inside her stroller and dad found rain ponchos for the rest of us. At this point people were leaving in droves and we should have done the same. Instead I took all the kids to Innovations and we stripped off the wet stuff and sent Dad to the hotel to get dry jeans and socks for everyone. At this point we only had one bus ticket since we prefer to walk and I was afraid of having everyone wait outside in the torrential downpours. Kids starting going on Autotopia since for the first time there was no waiting at all. We kept checking in with each other at Innovations. Dad got back and we changed. By this time it was drying out and the rain had stopped. Several rides were still down because it was too wet to operate. We ate at Pizza Planet and tried out a few more rides. By eight the park was jam packed, Main Street was crazy and we were all feeling cranky. We decided at nine to go back to the hotel and order in Chinese and watch Dick Clark. We had a great view of the fireworks from our Balcony.
We had a great time but if we had known the rain would stop we would have all headed for the hotel for showers and a rest. There was not any problem with re-entry later in the day that we could see.
Overall we had a great time and would do it again. We are from Nevada so the rain was a little more than we are used to. We also went on the 27, 28, & 29th and had a great time everyday. We would definately rebook for next year at the same time.

After all the talk about rain etc I'm just wondering if it was very rainy after all and if the shows etc were canceled. Did everyone have a good time? Wish I could have been there! Happy New year!

The parades were cancelled, but the special entertainment seemed to go forward, even though stages and dance floors were wet.

During the Stompy Jones Boogie swing party, you'd see this mop lady, wielding her mop (swishing it around on the floor) amidst all the swing dancers, to get rid of the puddles.

The Boogie Swing Plaza Gardens Stage was truly flooded, but the rain had stopped and they were still trying to mop it up as the dancing was began. That mop lady looked like Carol Burnett. It was so funny, her doing her mopping amidst all the dancing.

Did I have a good time?

From what I remember of it. I was awake from 6:30 am, that morning when I got to the maingate. I would have stayed in the Park all the way through till 2:00 am, had I not had to go back to the hotel to change wet clothes.

It was fun being on Splash at 2:00 am, as my last ride of that day.

From 10:00 pm till 10:30, I was on Space Mountain. I then decided to go have dinner at French Market at 11:00 pm. For the life of me, I could not tell you how I managed to get from Tomorrowland to NOS on NYE at 10:45 pm. I'm sure I crawled under ropes, hopped over railing, darted in and out of crowds etc. Somehow I got to French Market for dinner from 11:00-11:30 pm (ish) which was nice with the live entertainment at the French Market stage. I had no reservations, and was thrilled to get in and get my fried chicken for dinner on a NYE.

At about 11:30pm, I made my way from NOS, to the front of the castle, and once again, I could not tell you how I got there, other than jumping over ropes, people, fences etc....

Somehow, I did manage to get to the front of the Castle, (I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize to all the people I stepped over/stepped on to get there) .

My viewing area was not great, though. Technically it was the front of the castle, but partially obscured by a few trees. Oh well, I just remember a lot of bright colors and Yankee Doodle Dandy music. The colors seemed a lot brighter and more vivid than the 9:25 fireworks.

After the fireworks, I decided the best place to be was Honey I shrunk the Audience, and once again, made my way there, stepping on/over ....who knows how many people.

Again, sorry to all those who got stepped on/squished by me.

New Years Eve ended wonderfully! My brother and I got there just after opening Saturday morning and the rest of my family got there a little after 10am (I think). It was right after the re-dedication ceremony. (first time I caught this.. it was a great ceremony!) We headed over to Club Buzz area to just hang out there and took turns enjoying the entertainment around the park. Then the rain started. We were all soaked and cold.. But we didn't want to give up! We headed back to the hotel to change clothes and I just waited it out there till the weather got better. Around 5pm I decided to head back and see if I could get back into Disneyland. I decided to catch the 6pm Aladdin performance before I headed to Disneyland. I enjoyed it as usual and headed to Disneyland to see if I could get in. I was the only one of my family that stuck it out. My Mom, Aunt, Sister and Nephew headed home in the afternoon because of the rain and my brother stayed at the hotel since they figured the New Years entertainment wouldn't happen. I was able to enter Disneyland with no problem just before 7pm. I headed to Club Buzz and watched them get the stage ready for the New Years celebration. I went shopping for the New Years pins I saw at the Store Command. (i'm not a pin trader/collector in anyway.. but I saw the New Years pins and knew I had to get them).. I headed back to the stage and noticed people already waiting in front of the stage! Darn, I lost my normal front spot for Sandbox. It was great, ringing in the New Year with my favorite band. Towards midnight, I was able to get my spot in front the stage as people headed to other parts of the park. I wanted to video tape the countdown for my family who left so they would at least see some of it. The countdown was fun, the confetti was a nice touch for Club Buzz but because of the wet stage, the wet confetti on the stage became slippery for the band. One of the techs came and swept up what she could of the confetti but it was stuck to the stage! She was funny.. She said "someone thought confetti was a good idea". I told her, "it would be a great idea on a dry stage". I saw the stage on Sunday while I was watching Push and the confetti was still there. I would hate to be the one who has to get that off the stage. I watched all of Sandbox sets and headed back to the hotel for some much needed sleep. I think I got maybe 4 hours of sleep that night but it was worth being sleepy on Sunday. I had a great time.. Oh yeah, I almost forgot!! The fireworks were amazing as usual!! I can't wait till next New Years eve! :)

---They also had a special 12:10 am, showing of Fantasmic....if you could get over there.

---The Jump, Jive Boogie Swing Party extended to 12:15 am and beyond.

---Club Buzz Sandbox , 1:00 am and beyond.

Over at DCA, the Wave Riders kept going with shows at 10:00 pm, 11:00 pm, and 12:05 pm.

At least, I'm assuming all of this kept going and the earlier rains did not cancel out anything....much.

Did anyone see Lisa Hayley and the Zydekats on the Rivers of America around 11:00 pm-ish??? I don't know if she went forward. I was at the French Market, from about 11:15ish till 11:40 pm ........and didn't hear a thing. Maybe I was distracted by the French Market piano player.

Did anyone see the fireworks over Paradise Bay????

Wish I could be in two places at once, that night!
