Hi.. I wanted to put a link into a sig line and also a post.. but they are toooooo long.. How do I make it where I can say "click me" and be a hyperlink instead of showing the whoooollle link?
Sorry, I know this is not the place for this post, but I couldn't find any answers or anywhere else to post.

Oh yeah, that's a super long link.

Here's what you do:

type this [url=superlong linky linky ] but don't insert any spaces.

Then type "Please visit this site" or whatever you want to be the hyperlink. Skip the quotation marks.

Then you type [ /url ] No Spaces.

You'll have your hyperlink and your .sig will be shorter than 5 lines again.

You can also click on the hyperlink thingy and insert your link.

When you hit "ok", it looks like this in the text box:

(URL="http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=756605")http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=756605(/URL)

(but with brackets instead of parenthesis)

Overwrite the red part:

(URL="http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=756605")http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=756605(/URL)

And voilé a linkity-link!

Yes but not everyone can see that.

If anyone can't see the formatting tools on their reply windows or .sig windows, you can go to "User CP" then "Edit Options" and scroll down to "Miscellaneous Options" and "Message Editor Interface". Make sure it does NOT say "basic editor". I can see them with "Standard Editor - Extra Formatting Controls". Then you can see the formatting tools.
