Since our son turned 3 this year, we need to purchase a 3-day park hopper for him. Mom and Dad have AP passes. Can the parents get in with their son for the Early Entry passes....or is it pretty much "forget about it". Thx!

Sounds like you will have to skip EE.

If you stay on property you can get in for early entry... otherwise I think you're out of luck.

What about parent/grandparent who have EE (3 day park hopper) but my 3 year old daughter has a AP? How do you think that will work or could it at all?

Please tell me about EE if you are staying on property.....we all have APs but DH. We will be staying at the PPH in December.

If you are staying at any of the three hotels, currently you get early entry. I believe you show your room card, the one that shows yours stay dates, not the room key that allows entry.

As for the adult having EE and the young child having an AP. The child would not be allowed in for EE, since said child does not have a pass that includes EE. Unless of course the group is stay at a Disney Resort Hotel then see above.

Also, please note, this is classified a "trial basis" and could end at anytime. They may not continue it over Christmas. I would hate for someone to be counting on it, and have it end before their trip.

Yep, that is why I said "currently." Everything at Disneyland can be changed, modified or discontinued with or without notice.

we were going in for EE back in october, and i overheard a conversation between a CM and a visitor...her entire party was just inside the gate, but for some reason her ticket didn't have the Early Entry -- they wouldn't let her in...she kept insisting that they all bought their passes at the same place and they should all have early entry -- it didn't matter...she couldn't go in.
