Hi all. I am looking to purchase a tv for my dad. It cannot be very big and he doesn't care how fancy it is.

Any brand or website suggestions?

Thanks!

I don't know about brands or anything like that, but I'm totally addicted to
http://www.overstock.com. This week they are offering 1.00 shipping on everything! I love that place, I've bought a ton of stuff lately :~D .

Maybe target.com, that way if it's not just right...someone could return it for him very easily in So. Cal. :)

Thanks guys, both are good ideas. I like the $1 shipping idea; I also like that Target is close to him.

I need to call the hospital and see if they have cable or if the tv will need rabbit ears....

Trying to be a caregiver in another state is not very easy.

I've been in your situation, rentayenta. It's not easy. Good thoughts coming your way from Wisconsin ...

Can your dad set up the tv? If he's not able, be certain someone will do it for him.

Thanks Helen.

He cannot set up the tv. He is paralyzed, temporarily I hope, on his right side. I did call the facility and they will set it up for him.

Although I am far away, I am trying to be a presence.
