We Will Be Visiting Disneyland Dec.11-15, We Are Taking My Daughter And Niece To Libby Lu's For Princess Makeovers, I Do Not Want My Son To Feel Left Out. Any Suggestions?? We Have Visited The Park Many Times, But I Am Stumped When It Comes To Special Activities For Boys. Thanks In Advance.:)

*Build a Bear
*Check out ESPN Zone's arcade~they may have some appropriate games for a 4 yr old. Not sure though.
*Window (or, better yet, real) shopping trip to World of Disney just for him.
*A leisurely trip into the Lego store
*Lunch just for him at Rainforest Cafe

Hope you all have a great time!

I say Build a Bear also, and the Lego store.

My four year old son would kill for:
- A shopping trip at the Lego store
- A meal at Rainforest capped off with a Volcano!!! (Eat light/split a meal.. it's a huge dessert.)
- Playing at the ESPN zone (many many video games and sports games like shooting hoops, racing etc.)

How much does the Princess makeover cost? Tell him he has that much money to spend on anything he wants at the Lego store. That would be my son's first choice.

Second choice would be Build-A-Bear.

The girls will have tangible souveniers from the makeovers (lip gloss, glitter, etc) right? This way he has something tangible, too.

My 4yo isn't in to Legos much, and since he has a 2yo brother, they are not something I really want all over the house, so I would go with Build a Bear first. Although if your son likes Legos, that would be fun.
With my boys I am taking them to Enginears in DCA and letting them both get some special accessories for their Mr. Potato Heads. That might be something you could do with just him. Then take him next door to the bakery and get a special treat and enjoy it with just him.

I would like to add a few things that you could do with your son at DLR that do not cost anything. First, take him on the Mark Twain and ask to get into the wheel house. Second, go to the Main Street Train Station and ask to sit on the Tender car on one of the trains. Third, ask to sit in the front or tailcone of the monorail. These could be really cool things that he could do with one of you while the girls are off on their trip. You could also take him into the park early one day and head straight for Toon Town. Toon Town doesn't open right away but I've heard that they always have a few characters out. My wife and I got to see Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Goofy during our honeymoon.

This is an excellent idea! I totally forgot about the Mr. Potato Head stuff.

There are more than just Legos at the Lego store. If I recall correctly they also have some boy-themed dress-up costumes (knights & robots) that were made of foam and very cool for a bot that age.

I have to just endorse what others have said...

My eldest son made an Elephant at Build-A-Bear when he was about four. Gosh that was great. He named the elephant after himself which cracked us UP. My boys are huge Lego Fans but if he's 4, some of the specialness of the Lego Store (getting to pick out legos by color) may not be all that "wow" yet. It can be a great place to play. So I probably would vote for BAB over Legos for an interactive opportunity/experience.

My vote is for BAB also, my 3yo son just went for his birthday (here in Arizona) and he just loves Henry the bear plus, he got a Buzz Lightyear costume they have out for Halloween. He thought that was way cool especially since he thinks he is Buzz! I just wonder if they will still have the Buzz costumes since you will be there after Halloween, they should though, it is Disneyland.

They had the Buzz costume this week while we were there. We are now the proud owners of "Buzzy LightBear". LOL My son is 3 1/2, it was his favorite part of the trip.

Honestly I have seen BAB's everywhere and have had NO desire to do it. I couldn't imagine my 4 year old son would like it either... but... all these votes for BAB have me curious. I'll have to take my son to check it out now.

BAB is a fun place. My four kids that are 10, 8, 4, and 3 loved building the bears and naming them.
