I've only been to the year twice before in 2003. I really enjoyed looking at the exhibits, watching the shows, and most of all the O-Gauge Railroad. This year, I just hated it. When I went to see the indoor train, it had been replaced with a quiliting show  And instead of having artwork on display, they had cookies  Really...who wants to see cookies and cakes over stuff like artwork, models, etc. etc.

I went into three of the Showbuildings, only to be constanley hounded and called rude names by the people selling stuff. I finally was like "Get the He-- away from me!" in a very loud voice so everyone could hear me because they wouldn't stop. Same way in the carnival area, and it took like $12.00 just to ride the Ferris Wheel for 2 people!

And when I did get to the big displays, they seemed kinda childish like the "Time Machine" thing...Just a boring, tiring, and expensive day. Your opinion please? Thanks very much :)

I attend today, the last day.

My feet/legs gave out after about two hours, so I didn't hit all pavillions this year, nor the animals/barn, nor the outdoor pavillions (where the spas, pools, boats, etc. are shown or demo'd).

Sorry to hear the missing model train.
Where did they move it to?

What I didn't like was the $1 admission for the National Hot Rod Museum (which I declined).

The photographic displays are gone. A Latino Art/Culture exhibit is in that building.

The SPORTS expo bldg. was uplifting.
I liked watching the pitching radar gun, and the batting cages, and the football toss, and the basketball hoop shooting.
Babe Ruth's bat was on display, and you could touch the handle, as it lay within a glass case.
(It was not his famous, monsterous 54 ounce bat, but either his early/late model bat, since this bat was NO WAY 54 ounces.)

The commercial buildings are what I like best about the fair, if not the fabulous variety of FOOD.
I ate nothing exotic this time. Just one Orange Julius and a chili dog.
Too hot and tired to think of filling up.
I usually try to squeeze in a FALAFAL or GYROS sandwich, or a teriyaki something.

I bought a leather coin purse and leather car-key holder, and leather eyeglasses case.

I am disappointed that I could not last until the music acts began (6:00 and 7:00, typically, to the end of the evening).
Just hot and tired.

I better plan on EVENING visits. I cannot walk the grounds, anymore, in my condition.
