Las Vegas -- On Sept. 8, the intimate Tony-winning puppet musical, "Avenue Q," opened at Wynn Las Vegas in a $40 million brass-fitted, 1,200-seat, red gilt theater specially built for it by Steve Wynn, Vegas pooh-bah and high commissioner of Sin City glitz.
"Avenue Q" in Vegas, you say? With its seven-person cast and a mess of potty-mouthed puppets struggling with Gen-X angst? This is cognitive dissonance on a broad scale.
