We'll be going to Knotts in about a week and a half as part of our Disneyland vacation. I just wondered if anyone has ridden Xcelerator and what they think about it. Is it scary? lol. My dad wants me to go on it with him and I'm kinda scared of the whole 0-80mph in 2 seconds thing. The hill looks pretty big too! I'm not that wimpy when it comes to roller coasterd and I do enjoy them, but this one looks a bit scary. Also, what are the seatbelts like? Is it like a lap bar? I'd feel better riding it if I knew it had shoulder restraints just for my own comfort. Thanks!

but this one looks a bit scary.
Yes, it is scary -- just looking at it!
I did not ride it, but I was watching it go.
Holy, cow!
The acceleration! The turns!
Oh! and Silver Bullet!
Likewise, I did not ride it, but it looks like a roller coaster's roller coaster.
Knott's is no fool.
They know that their audience wants roller coasters, and, by George, Knott's give 'em real-thing roller coasters.
You might as well got for it.
Unless you prefer the kiddyland Camp Snoopy-level of ride.

It is a fun ride, but it definitely looks a lot more intense than it really is. The coaster itself is very smooth and does give a good sensation of speed. It is also a very short ride, so keep that in mind when gauging how long it is really worth waiting for it.
If the wait time isn't too awfully bad, it is definitely worth waiting a little extra for the front seat on this one.

Xcelerator is a great ride! The aniticipation of that launch is probably the scariest part. Go for it! There are both lap bars and over the shoulder restraints to fit you in nice and tight!
Silver Bullet is a lot of fun too, very smooth and very disorienting!

Lol I don't like the Camp-Snoopy type rides, so maybe I will try it. I heard it's pretty short so if I don't like it I just wont ride again.

Yeah, I think the anticipation of the launch is what scares me the most. Silver Bullet looks fun! I can't wait to try it.

It's bark is worse than it's bite. When I stood in line for the ride I kept thinking about how scary it's gonna be. But once I finished the ride I thought to myself "That's it?" That giant hill is the intimidation factor part and as long as you don't sit in the front row you'll be fine.
