Anyone know whether you can take an infant on a ride in an infant car seat, you know, the kind with a handel that you carry? I was thinking maybe on the trains or IASW I could leave the baby in the car seat. What do you think?

The only one you might be able to is on the train. I am guessing this car seat fits in a stroller (i hope you aren't carrying it all day!) But, no, it wouldn't be able to go on IASW, POTC and other such rides.

Personally, I wouldnt even take the carrier/ car seat in to the park. They just make the baby that much heavier to carry, and that much more bulk to pack around. If you are taking it because its part of the stroller system, I still wouldnt do it. Buy a front carrier- it will be the best thing you ever did.

But to answer your question, you could probably take it on the train with out a problem. Not sure about IASW, but I wouldnt want to stand in line holding it.
