I was planning on buying discount tickets through our credit union for $40, but we would really like to upgrade to an annual pass. In another post I read that I wouldn't be able to upgrade since I didn't pay the full ticket price. Should I go ahead and spring for the regular $53 dollar ticket (it's $43 online, but I'm still confused about the upgrade fee once I'm at the park). I emailed the contact info the UHS website gave me, but no one has replied to me. I can purchse an annual pass online for $63 dollars (which includes coupons for the park), would this be my best bet?

The way the upgrading works is no matter what kind of ticket you have, you have to pay the difference in price between that ticket and the one you wish to upgrade for. They do have a deal going on right now where the regular annual pass is $59. So if you purchase a $53 one day ticket, you only pay $6 to upgrade. If you are going to buy a discounted ticket for $40, you would have to pay $19 to upgrade to the regular annual pass. Either way you're still going to end up paying $59 if you want the regular annual pass.

Ah ok. That makes sense now. Thank you!
