I hate to admit, it's kind of embarrassing to even write this, but I've found myself in awkward situation. I'm a semi-theme park junkie - can find something to enjoy about all the local parks to enjoy - DL, DCA, Uni, Knott's, SFMM, really enjoy SFMM as a quick blast since I live fairly close - even became a extreme pass holder just for the free parking, but the problem is that I am the only person I know that at my age (33, single male) actually enjoys going, and walking around SFMM solo to me is awkward.

I looked into ACE, but they don't seem to do much in Southern California from what I can tell by looking at their website.

So if anyone has any advice on how to find clubs/people with the same theme park interests, that would be great. Thanks in advnce.

I enjoy going to theme parks also. I used to have a sfmm pass, btu now I only have the DL pass and a sea world platinum pass. I just take my daughter along. I did go to DL alone once and hated it. I felt so alone. ironically I' was surrounded by thousands of people, but felt the most alone that I ahve ever felt.

maybe you could meet people at park meets?

I love the MK at WDW and go regularly by myself. It did seem awkward at first, but I usually go on the same days of the week and therefore see the same cast members. I always smile and speak to them. Now about 15 know me on sight and it makes me feel even more special when they speak to me first. They know my sister also and always ask about her, since she lives out of state. I know about their families, where they are from, their favorite rides and characters and more. Yes, I would love to have people to meet for going on the rides or eating with, but until that time I have my cast member "friends". JUST GO FOR IT!! OH, yeah, I am even older than you and I will never give up the magic.

Maybe, Mouseplanet could start a "ride partner" area, where we could state what dates we are going and see if anyone wants to meet?!?!

i like going by myself to DL but now I go and meet with my girlfriend and spend time in the park with her

When I used to work at DL, I could get into the park for free with my CM ID. I did that a few mornings right when the park opened (I got off work at 8:00 am)

I didn't do many rides (I felt funny riding alone) but I would get "breakfast" (a bag of popcorn) and sit on a bench for a bit, people watching. Then I would go play in the arcades. The acrade in Critter Country used to have a "quick draw / shoot 'em game" I have no idea what's that called.

I also lived the acrade in Tomorrowland and the flight game. That was fun but it would make me sick sometimes...

If I had a AP and lived in the area and had time, I could see myself going and spending *sometime* alone at DL..But never all day. But that's just me.

But the early mornings have always been my favorite time at DL.
