Here we go again... Hurricane season!

MIAMI - Tropical Storm Katrina formed Wednesday morning in the Bahamas and could strengthen to a hurricane before hitting Florida later this week, the
National Hurricane Center said.

A 150-mile stretch of coast from Vero Beach to Florida City was under a hurricane watch, meaning hurricane conditions were possible by early Friday. The storm is expected to slowly cross the state and could dump a foot of rain or more in spots before heading into the Gulf of Mexico.

Ahhhhhhh we're leaving from CT on Sunday. As a former FL resident I know all about hurricane season, but it's been so quiet the last few weeks I lulled myself into a false sense of security that it was over for this year. Let's hope that this storm passes without incident. :)

Less than an hour ago News Channel 13 gave a full report and the expectations are that Katrina will be well south of Orlando and only seeing some rain and winds no higher than 30MPH.
