I went to San Diego this weekend. We had so much fun. Sea world is great. DL cm's beat sea worlds employees hands down, but Sea Worlds AP beats D: PAP hands down.

Driving down there I'm not paying attention and end up ont he 805. I startseeing signs with warnings about mexico on Them. I just ignore them, because I know I'm near a border. The next thing I knew i was AT the BORDER. I got off on the last off ramp before the border. Then I had to find another freeway. I lucked out and found the right one and we drove to sea world. On the way we saw the navy base.:)

At sea world we got to go in the shortest car line into the park because of our AP. Then we got to park right near the gates because of our AP and we got to reserve our seats for all the shows and sit in a special section. This was cool, because we didn't have to worry about getting to the shows way early to get seats. We also got discounts on everything...even refills of soda. :)...oh, and free rides on the buckets/skyway and the round thing that goes up high. :)

Saturday was crazy busy. they said 25,000 people were in the park. It was a mad house, but with our reserved seating it all worked out. We liked all the shows, but the new sea lion show was not the greatest. I got to pet a dolphin. I have always wanted to, but they have never come near me. I spent a long time watching the manatees. I love them. I satw atching them saturday night until they told me it was closed. We also spent some time viewing the sharks, but this was after 10pm when the park wasn't crowded and hardly anyone was there. We left the parks around midnight and then got lost finding the hotel ....really lost...we were driving around for an hour....got to the hotel and all the had was smoking rooms left on a smoking floor. *gag* this was at 1:00am and they had already charged my card....so we held our breath and ran to our room....seriously the hallway reeked of stale smoke. The room wasn't bad. I opened up the balcomy door to air it our some, but the pillows reeked of smoke. The parking was also very narrow and the garage had very narrow ramps. I would not stay at The raddison harboe view again. (it was also near an airport and a freeway. the noise did not keep me up, but it was loud in the morning.)

Sunday we had breakfast with shamu. We liked this. It was relaxing and the whales were not splashing. The baby whale was so cute to watch. The one bad thing was the floor was wet where the food was. I slipped and fell down. I have a large bruise on my right knee now. Thankfully there were not many witnesses...LOL...but this is my previoulsy injured knee that was in a brace forever. Other than the very noticable bruise it seems ok. I haven't even been limping, but we'll see how it is tomorrow.

So, today we just did the two shows we missed yesterday and the haunted lighthouse show. the haunted light house show was bad, the wild artic ride was bad, the atalntis ride was just lame...we didn't even bother to go on the rapid ride, because we were noticing a pattern...LOL...we did enjoy using the water canons to get the people on the rapid ride even more wet though....:~D

then we came home....of course I got lost on the way home also. i had to turn around like 5 times for almost every freeway change or merge. I really need to pay more attention...LOL

I'll have some pictures up later....there are a few cell phone pics on my yahoo blog, but I have real pictures also..:)

Oh my gosh SCUBAbe, we did the same thing last Sunday. We had four rental cars and were all driving down from Anaheim to SeaWorld for the day. I told everyone that the directions were easy, just go south on I5 and take SeaWorld Drive exit and go west one mile. - Ha that 805 and I5 split is very easy to miss - especially when you are not use to flying down the freeway at 75 miles an hour and that is like a little old gramma speed!!!! All four of our cars missed the signs and ended up on 805. We did, however, figure it out almost immediately and got off and turned around, went back up 805 until we were again on I5 going north, exited and got on I5 going south and stayed right when the freeway split off to 805. :| ;)

By the way - we had a great time at SeaWorld too. I even rode Journey to Atlantis! Here are a few pictures from that day. (http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8EbuWrNmxZs6W) :)

^^
sadly i got lost time and time again. It took me an hour to find the hotel that was 5 minutes away....and going home was a joke. i had to turn around so many times it wasn't even funny...at least 5 times just on the way home....my daugter is now an expert at reading a thomas guide and getting us going the right way again...LOL...

I have the pictures up....the link is in my signature..:)
