I couldn't think of another way to title the post. The situation is this: I came home from work today and went on Mouseplanet to check some posts and things. Nothing seems to be working. If I clicked on a thread that showed there was 9 replies, when I clicked on it, I only saw the original thread starting post. This has happened on a couple different threads that I clicked on. Also, on one particular thread I clicked on, it showed that a post was made today at 6:45 pm. It's only 3:19pm. All the times and everything were screwed up. I thought it might be me, so I logged out and logged in again and it still isn't working. Is there anything else I can do to see all of the posts or to change the times? Is it just happening to me? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It is working for me. It also says the right times. I think that Andrew posted something about Windows systems having problems, maybe that is what is going on.

The times are back for me now, but I am not able to see all the posts on a particular thread.

Maybe the thread was closed or blocked or eaten by one of the computer viruses.

No Windows virus should be able to affect MousePlanet from the server end, so if that is it, it would be on the client end.

blueckles, what thread(s) are you trying to view that you only get part of the contents?

CoasterChickie's Crazy Weekend and Ratemyprofessors.com are just a couple. It's really weird.

With this thing going around right now, should we be worried about being online?

Ok, both threads are displaying fine for me.

If you have a different browser installed on your computer, could you try logging in and viewing through that browser? If not, could you log out, and log back in? If that doesn't clear it, try logging out, clearing your cache, and logigng back in.

What browser/OS are you using?

If you are concerned about the virus/worm currently causing problems, and you have Windows, got here:

http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

The easiest solution is to use the Automatic update, and your system will patch any potential problems.

As for the MP server, Alex is correct. It cannot be anything on our end, since we are running a Linux based server - not Windows.

Tony, sorry, I forgot to tell you I installed Windows 2000 Server on our Web farm. Apache is now running under Linux on VMWare.

You don't mind, do you?
