It dawned on me that the preferred parking is NOT to be preferred.
Why would you pay more dollars to park in the sun, when for less money you can park in the shade (JURASSIC or CURIOUS GEORGE covered parking structures)?
And not only that, isn't it true that after USH, you will typically walk thru City Walk, and thus be closer to JURASSIC and CURIOUS GEORGE than to the preferred open lot near the front gate?
Huh???

There are other locations for the preferred parking than in the sun. The Frankenstein lot as preferred parking on its top two levels, which are actually the ground levels of the theme park as the garage slopes down the hill and you actually have to walk up to get to the theme park. This is the next closest preferred area to the park as you do not walk through citywalk to get to the park/garage.

In the recent years when I have been driving to USH myself I have realized that the USH parking is unorganized compared to my experiences with DLR.
But then again why should I be comparing apples and oranges?
I just hope that one day USH will be able to get their act together on the parking situation. With the recent trips I have made to the park within the last few years that is my only complaint about the place.

parking has NEVER been so unorganized as it has been this past year. Of course USh bottom line is $$ so selling the top levels of the structure for preffered is obvious way to milk the cash cow..... HOWEVER>.. it is the main lot they use for employee parking... on some days they park regular guests and preferred guests their, making the employees drive around for hours trying to find a spot on one of the 2 or 3 levels they have left.
We wont even talk about nights where there is a concert.... everyone in parking has their head up their A** and i have seen so many near misses with accidents... they dont care.....
Frankenstein is the BEST lot to park in as a guest, because it is So close to the front gate and you dont have to fight your way down Citywalk... try that on a Fri./Sat night.....
