As predicted, I just got my notice that the Disney Credit Card (no, not the Disney Visa) is being discontinued effective October 1st. I saw the writing on the wall when the Visa was first mentioned, since it makes a lot more sense. Too bad though, when the Card was new, it came with great newsletters with your statements along with opportunities to purchase nice cardholder-only merchandise, all of which I still have. They also had a great design, which got updated for the 100 Years of Magic promotion as well. Hold onto your cards, they might just be collector's items ;)

Yeah, I got that letter today too. Pretty rude about it, weren't they? I found out they were doing this when I called the customer service line to find out why various Disney properties (hotels, restaurants, etc) had no idea how to accept the card.

I'm going to have to give the Disney Visa people a call and see if they can transfer a balance.

awe, that sucks, but I never used mine anyway. Everyonce in a while, but it got paid off before the bill came. So, I guess with me they are losing money with no interest being charged. I certainly never cmae close to the limit they gave me. If I ever spent that much at DL I would have to seek counceling...LOL

I have a feeling noone has a balance on their card, and that's why they let it go :crying: So just for fun, I just charged the new Tangaroa lamp from Disney Direct on it, so now I'll have the statements come in the mail for a few more months just for posterity!
