Hi! The last time I stayed at WDW, I was 27 and went with my boyfriend - we stayed at CB and I wouldn't recommend it for a couple, nor would I recommend any of the Value Resorts - LOTS of families with small kids plus the transportation to the parks and PI was VERY slow. Are you a member of AAA? A teacher or a gov't employee? You may want to look at a higher end hotel - Swan, Dolphin, etc. and see if you can get a discounted rate during the time of your stay.

Umm, I'm a government employee. What kind of discounts are there for me, and where would I find them?
Thanks.

My wife and I were both Federal Employees and we stayed at the Mattiott World Center. We were able to get government rates which included their buffet breakfast for both of us. Be sure to let the reservations people nknow that you are not on official business; you will still be able to get the rate. If you have a map the hotel is on SR-536 (which is Epcot Center Boulevard Extended) about halfway between I-4 and SR-535 and about one mile from the gate.

Just because you are staying at a moderate price hotel doesn't mean you can't go nosey in the expensive ones. Get the monorail and get off at Grand Flo. Have a coffee or stroll on the beach. Two worlds for the price of one!

Doesn't the Swan and Dolphin have government rates quite a bit?

Thanks for the info on the Mariott, but I don't think my budget on this trip will come close to a Mariott rate, even with discounts!
I was thinking that there were some government Disney discounts that I was unaware of.
