Hello! I have a 2 year old son who is rather big for his age. He will be turning 3 next month but looks a little older. I'm taking him to Disneyland next week in part because I don't want to shell out the over $100 it will cost to take him when he's 3. Has anyone ever been questioned about the age of their child when entering the park? Should I bring his birth certificate?
Thanks!

I don't think they will ask for it, however its better to be safe than sorry. I would take a copy personally.
Have a great time!:)
I was questioned once, when I took my friend's son to Disneyland the day BEFORE he turned 3. We knew he was turning 3 the next day, and intentionally brought him while he still qualified for free admission.
The cast member at the gate did ask me something about his age, and I honestly replied that he was turning three the next day. I *think* they asked him too.

My son is big for his age as well. We have been questioned before but not recently. It also depends who the ticket taker is as some of them who are older will recognize an older child.

I read somewhere on either this board or on Mice Age that someone's daughter wasn't let inside of DL because the CMs didn't believe she was two. So to be safe, I would bring a copy if I were you.

Thanks!I would carry a copy of his birth certificate. It would just make everything easier should they ask. Better safe than sorry.

When we were WDW my aunt asked if she needed to change her daughters AP from child to adult because her age has changed since the last time she was there and she first purchased her AP. The CM said no because no CM is allowed to question a child's age. That sounds so weird that they wouldn't allow a child in. I would not be a happy parent if this happened.

We took a trip to DL over my son's 3rd b-day. We were there the day before, and the day of. He's pretty tall for his age, but no one questioned when we went in the day before. The day of his b-day, I decided to be honest and actually buy a 1 day hopper for him, especially since he had his b-day button from the GCH on.
