View Full Version : Website Name
Brydagr8 08-08-2005, 06:47 PM Im not sure if this goes here, Im making a website dedicated to Disneyland. Its going to have diffrent types of media (movies, music, models) Anyway, I need a name for the website. I was thinking Virtual Disneylad, but if anyone has something better let me know.
JeffG 08-08-2005, 09:20 PM My main advice would be to select a name that does not include the word "Disney" or "Disneyland" in any way. If you use either of Disney's trademarks in the site name, they could potentially shut you down if they decide that they don't like what you do. That is the reason why the major non-official Disney-related sites pretty much all have names that do not include any of Disney's trademarks.

Brydagr8 08-21-2005, 08:37 PM Click Here (http://the--emporium.blogspot.com) for the rough draft of my the website. Its not too late to change anything. And it still needs modifications. but how about it? :(

D,E = good choices
I like "C" best 'cause it looks like pixie dust!

Brydagr8 09-05-2005, 05:49 PM Now, before you get all fussy, what do think about ads on a website? They wouldent be like pop up ads or banner ads. It would be like those google ads.
Disneyfun 09-05-2005, 08:53 PM You nnow google type adds do not bother me one bit. they are off to the side and to be honest Most of the time i do not even see them. Although I did find one great site because of them.
POP up adds could keep me from coming!
Brydagr8 09-11-2005, 06:08 PM Here is a banner:

MermaidHair 09-11-2005, 06:34 PM Neat idea for a site. I just wanted to say that I am not someone who knows tons of stuff about Disneyland, but I am learning. On that note, "The Emporium" seems to need an adjective to me. I thinkit would be easier to identify as a Disney related site if it had one. How about "The Mouse Emporium"?
Just a thought.

Another Dimension 09-25-2005, 07:50 AM It looks like a good start.
A few contructive comments... ;)
Ya should definitely spell check and proofread your content.
Fill in some more basic content (something for people to see) on all your linked pages.
Add some friends / fan sites links and affiliates to spread the word of the site around in a webring/network sort of way and to reach more of the disneyfan community besides in just this thread and your sig.
It looks cool and your mission/subject matter is cool, just simply overwhelm everyone with magical content.
