Okay it all started here at Mouseplanet I found out there was a pod cast put on By Disneyland for the May 5th celebration. Through that I found Mousepod. And then one of my favorites (nothing to do about disney) MOmmy cast. I am now subscribed to way too Many pods cast. Most Disney related!
So is there anyone out there listening to pods casts as much as me!?
What are you listening to?
My poor husband. He got me an Ipod shuffle for my birthday. back when they very first came out. He down loaded some songs on to it for me. But then I started listening to books on tapes. (I listened to the first 5 Harry Potters right before book 6) and now I am consitenetly listening to podcasts.
Here he thought okay cool gift she will use it a few times. Now he has to pry me away from it.:)

i don't know what these are. Well, I may have a vague idea. The news said people just record whatever and put it up on the internet so people can listen to it. So, I guess it's kind of like a blog, but you listen to it instead of read it??? or is it like some amature radio show??....

I'm not an addict. I have checked a few out on iTunes though. It's great that they have a directory on there now. Makes it a lot easier to find podcasts that interest me. :)

I agree Itunes is much easier to find things. I alos think more things are coming out in different areas. There use to be nothing on HArry Potter now there are about 5. I think I tunes opened it up to more people. Before that Iused POdcast alley to serach for topics.
"Addict" makes it sound like it's a problem. :p
I think I have least 35 different podcasts active in my podcatching software. Listening to podcasts has now pretty much replaced normal radio listening in the car (which was great when my commute was 90 minutes). Most of them are regular radio shows that I can listen to whenever I want. Others are amatuer productions on subjects I find interesting. Most are weekly, a few are daily, and others are wildy irregular. Here are some of my favorites:
Slacker Astronomy (http://www.slackerastronomy.org/wordpress/index.php) - Weekly astronomy news with few bad jokes thrown in to keep it interesting
WGBH Morning Stories (http://www.wgbh.org/article?item_id=2020890) - Kinda like a 5-minute version of This American Life
This Week in Tech (http://thisweekintech.com/) - Ex-hosts from The Screen Savers on TechTV talking about tech/geek news.
Animation Podcast (http://www.animationpodcast.com/) - Disney Animator who interviews other animators. Very irregular, but his interview with Andreas Deja was very cool.
The Rachel Maddow Show (http://shows.airamericaradio.com/maddow/) - Air America's early morning show.
The Word Nerds (http://thewordnerds.libsyn.com/) - A trio of English teachers talking about language and word origins.
The Radio Adventures of Doctor Floyd (http://www.doctorfloyd.com/) - An old style radio serial produced by a couple of ex-Disneyland cast members. It has very high production values and is pretty funny. They did a running Jungle Cruise gag for a couple of episodes near the end of season 2.

A bunch of stuff from KCRW (http://www.kcrw.org/podcast/)
