Or the fact that in the movie Cooter (Ben Johnson) was a federal agent but became Cooter in the TV show (while the character who played Cooter in the movie didn't play Cooter in the TV show, but did show up in the Enis spin-off as a detective.)

Gee. The whole thing sounds so incestuous.

I don't plan on seeing it. I did watch the TV show in the day, in fact, I somewhat enjoyed it. But that show feels like one that should have been left in that era. Good then, but not good now.

That, and I am just fricken tired of Jessica Simpson! Her face is EVERYWHERE!

I went and saw it saturday night. Mrs Black Pearl & I thought it was a pretty good movie. The wierd thing is, Knoxville is the voice of reason out of the two Duke boys. The creepiest thing to me was the guy that played Sherriff Roscoe P. Coltrain. I mean, I can see a thin, smooth talking, Boss Hogg. I can see a ganja smoking, moonshining, Uncle Jesse, but Roscoe is supposed to be an idiot, not a mutton chop sporting, intimidating, southern cliche.**shudder**

I'm not sure if it came out yet or not, but Knoxville is also supposed to be in a leading dramatic role, but in a not-so-big movie release.

I grew up on Dukes of Hazzard and so did my husband. I don't know that we will see it in the theatre but we will definitely see it at some point in time.

I don't get too caught up in the technicalities of who is playing Boss Hogg, Roscoe, etc. My husband will notice all that stuff though (he can't stand it when when movies have screeching tires on dirt roads). It will be a movie that I watch just for the fun of it (and to look at Johnny Knoxville)! :D
