In a Nightmare Before Christmas manga I got today, it had an ad for the game, and it says it's coming out sometime in October.

It's been shown at the last two E3s, at least. Likely, they've had trouble nailing down some design decisions or they've had to re-work some that didn't work out as well as they've hoped.

I did not realize that it was released in Japan last October. It does seem odd, then, that it would take that long to bring it to the the US. It shouldn't take that long to localize it, especially since the voice-overs are already in English. Perhaps (and this is purely speculation) they're just intent on a Halloween release to maximize sales, and since they couldn't make it last year, they pushed it off to Halloween this year.

That is a very good point. I didn't even think of that. Just like what the movies do sometimes.

I just bought the game yesterday but haven't played it yet, anyone else got it?

I got it as well, but my brother is currently borrowing my PS2, so I suppose I won't get to play it for a while. I'd love to hear feedback from anyone who has played it.

I'm determined to play it tonight! I've had it since saturday and haven't even taken it out the bag! I've had a lot of stuff to do for college though, but I'll give it a go tonight!

I'm back! I've managed to play a little bit of the game (just to make sure it works ok), and it seems quite cool. A little like Kingdom Hearts I feel but that's cool. I'll play more another day though, my bedroom is like the Antarctic!
