We received our materials for our upcoming West Coast Cruise and it mentions something vague about a wine package, but didn't mention what it covers or how much it is.
Has anyone ordered this? What does it cover? Do you have to get a bottle of wine that you both can agree on or does it cover individual glasses so you each can have something different?
What does it cost?
Thanks! Karin

Oh, Shohanna! You're so funny!
We were reading the brochures as we went to bed last nite and I just wanted to get the post up before I left for work hoping there would be an answer (and there was, from you!) when I came home!
That does help, thanks. Unfortunately it isn't the answer I wanted. It talks about buying bottles of wine. DH and I have different tastes in wine, so sharing a bottle wouldn't work well. And if they kept it for us til the next nite, then what would we do with that nite's wine? Oh, the humanity!
It'll end up cheaper to buy a glass at a time for us.
Thanks!

Giving an update on what we ended up doing about the wine package:
When we left home Sat. AM last week we were decided against the wine package. The list of wines available really didn't appeal to us and the fact that we rarely agree on the same wine at any given meal was a huge drawback.
Fast forward to noon and boarding time. After making our Palo ressies we headed to Parrot Cay for lunch. Outside was a server offering the wine package. Not wanting to be rude, we listened to what he had to say, took the pamphlet and headed inside. While we ate we looked at the brochure and talked about it. It said you could open more than one bottle at a time and they'd store the unused portion for you until your next meal. If you wanted to take it back to your stateroom, you could, and whatever you hadn't opened onboard could be taken home and would count towards your alcohol allowence for duty-free items.
I still wasn't impressed with the list of wines that were listed for $159, however, they also had a Premuim Package available (of course they did!) and I instantly saw 4 wines on *that* list that we knew we liked. Long story short, we got the Premium Package. Over the course of the 7 nights we drank 6 bottles and brought the 7th home. It really worked out well and while more expensive than the other list, we were happier with the selection and had some choice wines that some of them were not available by the glass.

Thanks Karin that's great info, we are going on the Wonder, December 2006 and of a party of 12 only 2 are wine drinkers and we each prefer totally different wines.
