My boyfriend and I are discussing honeymoon options and we had originally picked DW for like 7 nights but then I started looking at DCL and thought the Land and Sea cruise mihgt be good. I saw on the DCL website that for cruises in 2006 you get a 7 day parkhopper ticket so we could always go to DW for a few extra days on top of what we get with the cruise package. So for those of you that have been on the Land and Sea cruise or to DW or both what do you reccomend?
BTW, we would be going in December 2006.

Our honeymoon 4 day land/ 3 day sea was in September and needless to say the weather wasn't so inviting. However, I have been to Florida in December and January and the weather was perfect. I think having a couple of days extra at the Resort is a good thing. We added only one day since we were coming from California but wished it was a couple of more days because we didn't feel we had enough time to see everything and enjoy ourselves after the wedding.

If you haven't been on a cruise before, I suggest that you do the combo. Its a great starter cruise. DCL was our first cruise and we've been hooked. We now prefer cruising over anything else and have been on Norwegian Cruise and now want to try Celebrity.

I, too, like the land/sea -- it will give you a chance to relax, and the ship has some great opportunities for romance. :)

We did the combo as well (with two teenage boys) and added three extra nights on land for a full week at Disney World. It was perfect. We were at the Beach Club, and I believe our location couldn't have been better.

We plan to do it again for our 30th anniversary in December '06.

My husband and I did the 4day land/ 3 day cruise for our honeymoon last December. Bottome line, too much to do in too little of time. There were so many things we wanted to do on the cruise but did get to and the same goes for the parks. I highly suggest adding on a few days to enjoy the parks. Planning ahead is key but there are a lot of things you don't find out about until you get your navigator on the cruise. However, I wouldn't have done anything else for our honey. It was wonderful none the less.
