We can't decide between the 3 or 4 day cruise. I understand the extra day is "at sea". Is there really that much to do to keep us occupied for an additional day at sea without a port-of-call? It isn't that much more money, but I'm just worried about being bored. We will be going on this cruise without children.

On the DCL I thought the day at sea was wonderful. There's just so much to do on the Disney ships. We lounged at the pool, shopped, saw a movie, went to the spa, and went to that night's show

This isn't true of all ships though. During our day at sea on another ship I found myself bored.

If I were to pick, I'd probably want the four day cruise. While it's fun to go onshore and do the excursions, having the full day at sea to explore the ship, the shows, the pools, etc. would be nice.

and its always nice to have a relaxing day before you have to disembark.

You can spa, swim, watch a movie and then leisurely pack your bags before heading off for the evenings activities.

We did the 3 day & it was perfect for us. For the first thing, the cruise fell over a weekend, so less days for my hubby to take off of work. Then my hubby is not a cruising fan, so 3 days was perfect for that fact. Also at the time of our trip I had a 5 year old, 1 year old and was 5 months pregnant. It worked good for us, as my son was teething & I was just plain tired.

So, I am thinking next year of taking another cruise on DCL with my now 8 year old, 3 1/2 year old & 2 year old. I would do a 3 day again if I had to choose between 3 or 4 day. 7 day cruise is ideal to me to be able see more islands and get my money's worth. And I would book it in a heartbeat, if I could get my hubby on board for it! But as for the 4 day, it's just seemed (to me) to not be all that much better. A "Day at Sea" to me is not my idea of fun. Yes, there is things to do on board, but that "Day at Sea" could be a day at Disney World (if we were to extend our trip a day).

MY OPINION though.........many people love the day at sea!!!

I felt even four days wasn't enough -- the ship is so much fun! If you can do four, I think you should. A day at sea really gives you time to relax and there are a ton of activities. There are many adult-programs: educational, entertainment, the spa, or just relaxing by the adult pool.
