AMD sues Intel

"Intel has always respected the laws of the countries in which we operate," Intel Chief Executive Paul S. Otellini said. "We compete aggressively and fairly to deliver the best value to consumers. This will not change."

Otellini noted that Intel has been involved in other antitrust suits and said "every one of those matters has been resolved to our satisfaction."

and

"Intel feels it is competing fairly and believes customers are benefiting from vigorous competition," Tom Beermann, an Intel spokesman, said in a statement. "A.M.D. has chosen, once again, to complain to a court about Intel's success with a legal case full of excuses and speculation."

AMD sues Intel

LOL. I wonder which side you support, DJ ;) Nothing like a good lawsuit to crank up the publicity machines eh?

"This litigation follows a recent ruling from the Fair Trade Commission of Japan (JFTC), which found that Intel abused its monopoly power to exclude fair and open competition, violating Section 3 of Japan’s Antimonopoly Act. These findings reveal that Intel deliberately engaged in illegal business practices to stop AMD’s increasing market share by imposing limitations on Japanese PC manufacturers. Intel did not contest these charges." -AMD PR (http://www.amd.com/us-en/Corporate/VirtualPressRoom/0,,51_104_543%7E99713,00.html)

Seriously, we are so paranoid about everything in that company, especially about guarding against anti-trust behavior, i'm surprised each time these allegations are even brought up.
