Someone asked me about this privately, but I wanted to post it here as well, since the info might be valuable to those of you who are considering the romance package, which we found to be the only "ho-hum" thing during our incredible trip.
The Romance Package is good mainly for the included spa treatment. The other stuff was not as great.
The basket included a bottle of champagne, a small DCL photo album, and a heart-shaped box which only contained a small handful of LifeSavers Creamsavers hard candy (very disappointing - it was only half full too - I think there were about 8 to 10 pieces in all).
The romantic turn-down service included a couple of special towel animals on the bed, surrounded by a large handful of red rose petals (pretty, but not overly exciting).
The champagne breakfast was no different than the food served at the breakfast buffets, except that it included a complimentary glass of champagne or a mimosa. Overall, the food was slightly cold, as we noticed with the one other time we ordered room service. It's better to just go for breakfast.
And, now that Palo reservations are available online, this part of the package is really moot now. We didn't even get a window seat at Palo. And while the food at Palo is excellent, we found atmosphere to be more "sophisticated" than romantic.
When we do it again, we'll just spend the money on spa treatments instead, and make our own Palo ressies online. :)
