For those of you who have gone on the West Coast Cruise to Mexico, was there any mention that the Magic/Wonder may return to the Port of Los Angeles again? I have a feeling I am going to want to cruise again after my July 9th trip!

Tom McAlpin, DCL president, said it wouldn't happen 2006, as that itinerary has already been released. But he kept stressing that 2007 hasn't been announced yet. There won't be a new ship until the Euro goes down, but i'd start saving my pennies for another magic visit in 2007.... They'll proabably announce something in fall 2005.

They are building a new ship and its rumored they are thinking of bringing a cruise ship out to the west coast. That is all that I've heard. You might want to check out some website specifically dedicated to cruising as they might have heard a lot more.

Shana and I got that information about no West Coast cruises for 2006 directly from McAlpin two weeks ago at the Twiced Charm press event. So, officially, they won't be offering either West Coast or Alaskan cruises for next year.

None for 2006, but it was strongly hinted by some of the Magic's CMs that she will be returning in 2007, most likely for good. We've already started saving for the canal crossing if/when that occurs. :D

As for Alaskan cruises, the state is limiting the amount of cruise ships along with raising taxes and port charges, so it might be a while until we ever see a Disney cruise out there. I did hear that some of the cruise lines that are allowed to sail that have to cut trips as well.

Cruise TIP: If the Magic does sail out this way and DCL does plan like all other cruise lines...watch out for repositioning cruises. They are traditionally the cheapest because they really don't go to exotic locations. But if you wan to experience the ship, this is the way to go. But then again, they might not offer anything like that but its good to keep an eye out just in case.
